Gateway Dental Group and Orthodontics

This is for the ortho side. Equipment and staff are fine, even very good. Here’s the issue– the ortho folks are only in the office a couple of times per week. Had they made me aware of that, I would have picked another orthodontist, even if it cost a bit more. Emergencies are put off and if you happen to miss an appointment or have a busy schedule, forget about getting in any time soon. They must have another office or two, but they’re not interested in allowing one to go there for an emergency.

My family and I appreciate the staff and Dentist here at this office. We’ve been coming here for a few years and really enjoy how clean, efficient and friendly they are. Overall very content with this office, I would recommend to friends and family.

Love this place. So kind, they have affordable payment plans and always send appointment reminders which are very helpful =)

Really disappointed with this place. After years of coming here and it’s taken me a while to find another dentist I feel I can trust. There’s just something wrong when they tell you a filling is old and needs to be replaced and, because they didn’t check your file first, they don’t realize that the «old» filling was actually fairly new (2 years) and they are the original dentist who put it in. Yes, another dentist that makes up stuff so they can get $ from you and your insurance.

I had such a bad experience at the previous dentist that I visited that I hadn’t gone back for a checkup for about 3.5 years. However, a possible cavity had me looking for a new place to try out.
I don’t usually love visits to the dentist’s office but everyone at this office was so sweet and welcoming, and the appointment couldn’t have gone smoother. From the X-​rays to the drilling and filling to the cleaning afterwards, everyone was very gentle and concerned about my comfort. Dr. Yen was very clear in explaining to me every step she was taking and she made the whole process go by so quickly and (relatively) painlessly that I no longer fear dentist visits!
A big thank you to the staff at Gateway Dental! It was a completely opposite visit from the other place and I will definitely be back :)

The staff here is phenomenal. I like it here because the office is modern and clean, and the wait time is not too long compared to other offices I’ve been to.
The assistant who took my x-​ray was very gentle and everything was digital. I got my cleaning with Staci, and she is one of the best hygienists I’ve met. My teeth felt great afterwards.

It was my first time experience with this dentistry, and it will be the last. Dam they still charged me for there hurabl work, top of that I have to leave with it, I wish someone can stop them doing business and damaging other people ?

Horrible time wait! I waited 2:15 minutes just to have them finally go over their outrages prices on any work or procedures needed. Their prices are the highest compared to other facilities I been to. I’ll never be back.

Great Friendly Welcoming Staff. The Dr. is very friendly and made me feel at home. I couldn’t be more happy with my cleaning at this dentist office.

Stay away from this place, nothing but problems!
I have had several bad experiences here so for me, not an isolated incident.
There was that time I showed up literally two min late after leaving work and they said they could not fit me in anymore since other appointments went long and was too busy. They were far from cordial when explaining this to me.
Next, I had an onlay done here with their expensive cerec machine. That process was admittedly very smooth but the onlay itself never felt right and would feel pain when biting hard. Eventually it cracked off and I had it glued on somewhere else. I returned here and they suggest I have a root canal, and refused to replace the onlay until that happened. Absolutely ridiculous! But they said I didn’t know what I was talking about, and that a root canal should be done. I’m not a fan of unnecessary root canals so I left for a second opinion.
Long story short, I paid OUT OF POCKET to get a crown somewhere else and couldn’t be happier. No root canal needed, tooth now feels great. They refused to cover any cost and am currently dealing with insurance to hopefully resolve, although there is no certainty that I’ll be successful.
Let it be a lesson, that I preferred to pay out of pocket than return here. My wife and kids also had issues with the work they did here, but that’s another story.
My new, current dental office is amazing by the way.

Always call before you go, they don’t have set lunchtimes so if you’re pressed for time, there’s a good chance they might be out to lunch. The last five times we have come to this place, the doctor has been out to lunch. It would be nice if there is a little bit more consistency with their hours.

Warning!!! Worst experience ever with them since I had to go in several times for them to re-​do a temporary crown, then when it came down to making the permanent crown. The machine wasn’t working! Took about 7 trips total for a permanent crown, lost about 6 hours of work with all these visits.
I’m still waiting on a refund because I refused to let them finish my dental work after this glad experience. I’m still waiting on office Manager Evelyn to return my call after 3 weeks of not getting a refund. This is ridiculous and would not recommend this location! I will be reporting them to the better business bureau if I don’t get my money by the end of the week.

It’s not often I give repetitive 5 stars to any business but Gateway Dental is fantastic! They make me feel like I’m the most important person in the building and make sure I am ALWAYS ok. Today I needed to get a onlay switched into a crown and they worked with me financially and never made me feel like I was a loser because I don’t have a lot of money to spend on stuff like this. They also understood my need to wrap this up quickly and while I was waiting for the crown machine to make my crown they brought in a hygienist to do my cleaning! Now that’s efficiency! The thing you should know is that everyone here cares about their patients and that’s a big deal.

I agree with earlier reviews. This place is only trying to do extra procedures that you don’t need to get extra money. Went to do a cleaning (just like I do every 6 months) and the dental hygienist had such an attitude because I didn’t want to do an extra irrigation (for an extra charge of course). She didn’t want to clean my teeth manually. I could see on the x-​ray and was pointed out by tech that there was tartar build up but the tech didn’t want to clean it she just flossed me and polished. When I asked her why she didn’t manually clean the tarter with the regular cleaning tools that were all laid out (as I have normally gotten at cleanings) she said that I needed to get the additional irrigation to clean my teeth. I had to force her to clean and scrap my teeth manually otherwise she wouldn’t have. She was just annoyed that she had to do it manually. It also makes me question all of the other extra services they said I «needed». Will not be going back there, its a shakedown.

I had a great Implant work done by Dr Haris Hashimi. I love my Hygienist Marcia and the new management. The new manager Lorena Long was a great help in regards to some insurance over charges.

Had a great experience coming here for my checkup and cleaning! The staff were super friendly and the office was really nice.
Didn’t have to wait long and I was brought back to have some X-​rays taken. May sound silly, but it was the best experience with dental X-​rays I have ever had. Very quick and painless. I’ve had previous experiences in other offices making me gag etc which is never fun. The assistants here know what they’re doing!
I saw Dr. Yen who was very personable and professional. Going to the dentist can be scary, but she made me feel at ease from the start. She really took the time to explain things and answer all the questions I had. Very happy with my visit and felt like I was taken care of like family.
Will definitely be back and highly recommend Gateway Dental!

Worst ethics ever. They will try to rob you out of last penny in your pocket. Unless you have money to throw away stay away from this place. I had insurance but got tired of being harassed to oay for services I dont need.

I took my son to Gateway Dental last week because he had a cracked molar. I was very concerned since he is only 8 years old but the team there made him and I feel right at home. They were patient with my son who was obviously very nervous about the whole procedure. Needless to say I would recommend this dentist to anyone who has small children.

Came in today for my regular check up everything went smoothly they got my teeth feeling amazing again! Thanks everyone! And dont listen to those one star people there just impatient people with out anything better to do than Unilocal a bad review!
