Cabins on the Point

We stayed at the Westsound House, sometimes referred to as the main house. It’s only steps to the kayaks and the views are great from the covered deck, the living room, or the dining room. Turtleback Mountain Preserve, with its miles of hiking trails, is a mere few hundred yards from the house. We could not have been more pleased with the comfort of the house or with Jennifer’s helpfulness or the accuracy of her recommendations, mostly for restaurants.
This is an ideal spot for people who are active or not so active. One of our party ran every day on the hiking trails, rode a bike all over Orcas Island and once took the ferry to Lopez to ride there, and kayaked most days. The other was more housebound, but enjoyed the views and photographing the wildlife that could be seen from the house, from yard bunnies and deer to harbor seals, great blue herons, and other waterfowl.
We can’t wait to go back.

We stayed at the «Highlands House,» which is located near the Moran State Park (a distance away from the Cabins on the Point main location).
VERY comfortable house, with all that we needed. Great beds, equipped kitchen, hot tub – but the best part of all was the AMAZING deck. It had a fabulous view of the sound, and was a great place to sit out and relax, enjoy the view, eat lunch, whatever. The house is located near the Moran State Park, which has great hiking trails, some nice lakes (we hear it’s a great place to swim during the summer), and Mt Constitution with its awesome views. We even had permissions to go over to the main Cabins on the Point location to hang out on the property (nice lawn with view), use the kayaks, etc.
Jennifer was a wonderful host. We felt like we had an aunt watching over us, guiding us to great spots to visit, smoothing the path! She made calls on our behalf and helped set up some arrangements/​tours for us. Her attention made our trip that much better.

Great place, super cozy and very romantic. The primrose is by far the best cabin.

This place is heaven. We stayed here last year and we’re going back this year.
Everything you need is in the cabin. Even if the weather is crap you can stay nestled inside and be cozy. It’s the perfect place to get away from the city and be quiet.
They’re really nice and it feels very private. I’m pretty sure we didn’t see another person the whole time we were there. We went in Feb, so going in March might be different.
Orcas is stunning. Go! Go now!

This past weekend was the second time we stayed at Cabins on the Point, and it was GREAT.
There are 5 cabins all a short distance from the beach and all have access to the lush grounds, fire pit and hot tub.
We stayed in the willows cottage both visits, the cottage is decorated kind of cutesy but who cares? You’ll be out and about exploring the island. They allow dogs with a $ 50.00 deposit and it’s a great place for dogs to explore.
