A Victorian on the Bay

Kenny and Kelly are the perfect hosts. When I asked if green juice for breakfast was possible, they made it happen! I’m not a big B&B fan, preferring the anonymity of a hotel, but I had all the space I wanted and my needs were more than met. B&B is in a perfect spot, steps away from the bay. House is clean and comfortable with lovely outdoor space. Grounds are serene. I heartily recommend!

My boyfriend and I stayed at this big beautiful B&B. Kenny and his wife were very nice and welcoming. I would totally recommend this place to my family and friends. We liked it so much we are coming back in the summer :)

My partner and I jumped in on a last-​minute reservation. He needed to be around water and ocean stuff, and it was my job to find somewhere within an easy trip from Manhattan to go rest for a couple of days. Being born & raised in Manhattan of course I have NO IDEA what the hell is going on out on the island, so I pretty much just started googling and searching until I found a place that seemed OK. Praise Ganesha I happened on this place.
Rosemary was delightful from our first phone call, suggesting how best we might find our way out to her B & B, talking up local amenities, making sure we had all of the details we needed. Upon arrival, we were greeted by name, and welcomed by her and her folks.
I can say the place is cozy and tidy and clean and comfortable, the room felt like home right away, the quiet was a relief… and I can also say these were not the most touching aspect of our stay. What I found most remarkable about our stay was the fact that we were fully, openly and truly welcomed. I work in alternative sexuality, and travel around the world speaking about BDSM and kink. My partner is an alternative artist as well, and between the two of us the «So, what do you do for a living?» and the «So, how did you guys meet?» conversations are often fraught. Not only did Rosemary make sure we knew she knew who we were, she was so delightfully open and curious, we felt simply and absolutely at home and relaxed. You can say all you want about the challenges of being open to the alternative lifestyles of your guests, but when you openly invite your freaky guests to talk about their freaky lives at the sunny breakfast table, you win a spot in the Awesome Hall of Fame in my book.
We came away from the weekend absolutely refreshed, and with the unexpected benefit of having connected with folks in a beautifully unexpected way. I’m accustomed to speaking to people about who I am: however my partner is still very new to this. By being so open about accepting who we were, Rosemary and her crew showed my partner that being «Out» can not only be fulfilling, it can be a way to educate, connect and remember how fortunate we are to be able to live our lives as we choose… and enjoy a meal with new friends and not worry about being shut down or shut out.
We will definitely be back. What a joy.
Plus, The Man wants to stay in The Master Suite… just so he can use the «MASTER» parking spot.

and checked out the comments here before booking a midsummer weekend getaway with my wife. We weren’t disappointed. The only thing I have to add to Arielle and Topher’s comments is a shoutout to Rosemary herself. She is a delightful host and first class innkeeper. Her building is beautiful, the rooms are immaculate, the grounds are lovely. A young couple got engaged there during our first night and they were very happy at Saturday brunch — which was elegant and delicious. Highest recommendation.

It’s almost at the end of a dead-​end-​at-​the-​docks street, so it’s nice and quiet. Clean and well-​appointed rooms, if a little too froo-​froo-​ey for me. But who cares about latticework over the bed when the cool beach breezes beckon?
Breakfast is indeed bitchin’, to again echo Arielle. After groggily descending the stairs, wandering into the dining room all full of sunlight and breeze, and meeting a table full of strangers, you might get a greeting like this: «So I guess you’re all wondering why I gathered us here today. It’s about Uncle Charlie’s will.» This was delivered by a fellow guest who happened to be seated at the head of the table… Anyway, as soon as you get seated they’ll start whipping up some tucker for ya. We had crepes one morning and French toast the next; both were great.
Staff was super friendly, chill, keen to give us tips on places to check out, directions on how to get there, etc. Good spot.

and it was absolutely the best! The service is top notch~ my boyfriend and I stayed in the «Friends Getaway Room» that has a private entrance and includes breakfast in bed. The breakfast is fantastic, the location is idyllic (directly across from the Bay and a really romantic restaurant called Trumpets) there is an outdoor pool and hot tub as well as whirlpool tubs in every room. If you are looking for a romantic getaway that is affordable, close to the Hamptons and offers every comfort, go here!
