Smashburger

If you have 2 or 3 hours for lunch, this is a great place. The food is pretty good, when you finally get it. I have been here twice both times I waited over an hour for my sandwich and fries and the place wasn’t even full. It seems like these people have never ran a restaurant before and are guessing all the way. Too bad I had high hopes.

I ordered a standard Smash Burger and Smash Fries and they came out very quickly. The employee who took my order was super nice. The manager who was on the clock, on the other hand, was a young girl who was acting rather unprofessionally. She had a schedule out on the table, was complaining about some work drama, and was openly texting on her phone. Such a great example for her employees. In any case, when I got home, I was pleasantly surprised with how tasty everything was, since this was my first time at Smash Burger and this particular location got terrible reviews. I would definitely return.

This place is ran terrible. I received the wrong order twice. When mine finally came out it didn’t have the fries I ordered. I was told they will be out in a couple mins. NEVER CAME. The young lady behind the counter (Dominque) started cussing in front of guest because her manager wasn’t listening to her. I suggest you just go to another burger place. As good as most smash burgers are this one is just AWFUL

Had a very nice experience at Smashburgher, east Windsor. Food arrived quickly. Food tasted great. My Friend had to wait a couple of extra mins for her shake but all was good. Burgers were tasty, Smash Fries were great and my friend enjoyed her Oreo shake. I woud recommend location to friends.

I love smashburger but this location is terrible. The first time I ordered a black bean burger got home to see it was meat. which I don’t eat so that was a waste of both money and food. The next time I wanted a jalapeño baja burger and looked at it to see a piece of lettuce, couple onions, and tomato. No chipotle bun, no jalapeño, not even any cheese or sauce. Do not recommend this location, however, smashburger overall is good.

This is the worst Smash Burger I’ve ever been too. The staff is slow and poorly trained. We waited over 30 minutes for a regular burger Hot Dog and Cold French Fries. For Fast Food this place is anything but fast or efficient.
The food was average but it could have been a lot better.

Waited over an hour for food. No explanation, no apology, no updates. If I wanted this wait we would have gone somewhere with better food.

The burgers are tasty. The staff needs better training.
First of all, they keep expired coupons on their website. So, do NOT go in there without carefully inspecting your coupon. You will be treated like a criminal, for «trying to get one over on them» Honestly folks, I made the ridiculous assumption that the website was current… like most business sites. Fail. No big deal. A coupon is nice, but it isn’t going to break me.
Second, the phone order system needs tweaking. Sure, they can take the orders fine. But, when you go in there, even though there is a sign that tells you to go to a different register for phone orders, they usher you to the front of the line of ppl waiting. For you, that’s not a big issue. But, it very obviously creates quite a bit of tension for the confused individuals that you just cut off. Lesson: ALWAYS call your orders in to this place. Don’t even bother going in, without it.

Overdone, crunchy tasteless burger! First time here and was a disappointment! Can’t order anything except well done according to cashier. Sweet potato fries were okay. Will be heading back to Bobby’s Burger Palace or Five Guys in future. This is the first & last Smashburger for me!

I wanted to love this Smash burger. I grew up in this town and having a fast food burger joint aside from Mickey D’s, BK, and Wendy’s made me really excited. Sadly, the food leaves a lot to be desired.
I ordered the Spicy Jalapeño Baja burger with Smash fries to go. The fries were thin (bigger than shoestring, smaller than BK or Mickey D’s) but seasoned well with olive oil, rosemary, and garlic. They tasted good but I would’ve preferred thicker fries with the same seasoning. The real issue was the burger. The meat was bland and very DRY. The chipotle mayo and guacamole were damn near tasteless and even with the onions, jalapeños, and cheese the burger was severely lacking flavor. The bun was nothing to write home about either.
On my list of favorite foods, burgers reign supreme. Unfortunately, Smash Burger left me wishing I had saved a little money and gotten a Whooper or a Big Mac from down the street. The only other good thing was the gentleman who rang me up. He was welcoming, friendly, and extremely apologetic for making me wait while he changed cash drawers. I did appreciate that.

Thought about going to Burger King, right next to SmashBurger, but figured I wanted a better, bigger burger. Bad choice on my part. Ordered a bacon cheeseburger, $ 6.69 plus tax. Took burger and left to eat in car on way home. Burger had zero bacon on it, Zero. The burger pattie itself could not have been more than about 2.5 to 3 ounces before cooking, it tasted fine, but I needed to eat the whole thing before the taste kicked in because it was so small. Watched a food prep girl assembling sandwiches with disposable gloves on as she ran her gloved hands through her hair and goes back to making food.
Burger King would have left me more satisfied. Smash Burger, you’ll never be a Five Guys.

I really want to like this place but I have never had a good experience! Staff is poorly trained and I never get a take out order without a missing item! Tonight was the final try and they failed! We ordered one salad, one burger and one order of fries and they forgot the fries! We chose to get the order to go because it was freezing in the restaurant! I’m done. Two trips to get three items is too much hassle for me!

I have been to several Smashburger stores. The food has always been delicious. I took my wife and kids there recently and was very disappointed. You really have to make an effort to do such a poor job assembling the food. No disrespect but that is what happens in fast food it is assembly. We ordered 4 burgers and not one was correct. Maybe the people in the kitchen were wearing blindfolds.
Smash burger isn’t cheap at over $ 35 for four people for fast food. Don’t kid yourselves. It still will give you over 50% of your daily sodium in a single burger. So it may be fresher than the three national chain nearby but it isn’t any healthier.
The indifference runs from the «manager» through the entire staff. The members of the staff at this location should have a shirt that says «Zero f$&@s given».
Summary: food sucks as does the staff.

Went for the first time today but sad to say this place did not live up to all the hype. My Grilled Chicken Avocado Club looked good on delivery but they left out the avocado! Brought it back and was asked «Do you want the avocado?» Guess so since I ordered it. Took a while before the missing avocado was delivered without any kind of apology. My husband’s burger was OK but nothing special and the SmashedFries were pretty greasy. Tables were not being cleared and it’s obvious that management and staff have not been fully trained to run a successful dining experience. Wonder how long this place will last as there weren’t many customers there and a perfectly fine diner is across the road. Doubt if we will return.

Very disappointing Smashburger. The shake was okay but compared to other Smashburger out of state and definite compared to five guys, the Smashburger was bad. I still go to Burger King next door is better

Smashburger is decent option for a burger. Nothing extraordinary but a bit on the pricy side. For a basic burger option, Smashburger is a bit too much like a fast food restaurant and not enough like a sit down. I had the Smashburger with regular fries. They are the skinny shoestring fries and they were tasty even though they quickly lost their heat. My brother had the sweet potato fries and those were much better. More flavor.

I ordered the Black Bean burger and it was very tasteless and bland. I’ve had much better black bean/​veggie burgers at many other establishments. It was basically black beans ‘smashed’ together to form a patty that would not even adhere. I would not order it again.
My boyfriend ordered the New Jersey burger and he thought it was just ok. We also ordered the smash fries and they were decent.
The place itself was very clean and the service was very friendly and professional, hence the 3 star rating. I just wish I could say something positive about the vegetarian option at this restaurant.

Burgers are tasty but OMG THE SERVICE HERE SUX!!! First time we went they didn’t have fries, a burger place and no fries!!! Really? Plus no onion strings for the burger I ordered. Then it took 20mins for shakes???
Ok thought maybe was an off night, tried a second time and it was worst. No one in the restaurant and still our food came out wrong and then I watched the Mgr give our shake to a woman that came back cuz they forget her shake!!! Who does that??? Stay away… FAR AWAY!!! Hey Five Guys doesn’t

I am not a big burger person, but my burger here was pretty good. Ordering from the menu while in line is convenient and the food came to our table fairly quickly. We had a chicken sandwich (broiled) and a jersey burger (w/​mushroom, onion, blue cheese, and crispy onions and I think bacon). For a side we had thin fries with rosemary and garlic which were awesome. Food was very tasty. Liked it better than Jake’s Wayback Burgers.

First time at a Smashburger. Love the concept and also the flavors of the food! Tried the goat-​cheese, cucumber burger «as it comes». It was really tasty and juicy. I also ordered the Smashfries and the seasoning was really good, plus the thinness of the fried makes them unique among burger joints. Topped it off with a shake made with real ice cream… Yummy.
The only downfall was the price :-(
I paid over $ 14 for those three regular sized items, definitely not economical to eat here everyday on a budget. As a suggestion i would offer meal combos for under $ 10 bucks. Will bring back the family to try sometime soon.
