Beautiful aesthetic. It’s sexy for dates but casual if you just want a Budweiser in the neighborhood. Nice people, too. The Safe Word is the best cocktail. Order it!

This bar is positively beautiful. The wood, marble and floral accents make for a great atmosphere. I love coming here with big groups and intimate drinks with friends because there are drinks for everyone — great cocktails, mid priced beer and wine, plus bud! The bartenders are fabulous. Some of the nicest and skilled ones I’ve ever met. There is a cute little backyard in the back too. If you stop in definitely check out the art work. Specifically the peacock in the bathroom.

Great new bar off the Montrose stop on the L. Stiff drinks, warm décor and a nice little outdoor area. They didn’t have tapas when I first went so I’m looking forward to trying those out. There are two good late night food spots on that block tho and the bar is ok with outside food. Overall friendly neighborhood spot, chill af. Five stars.

I love this spot. Bangin cocktails, friendly staff, and good vibes. Back space for events and back yard for outdoor drinking. Good for a crew or a date. And, also, it smells fucking great. No joke. Probably the flowers.

Great cocktail spot in bushwick. My wife loves their signature cocktail the dead mans mask. It’s a fun drink that is even tastier than it looks. The staff is really friendly and knows their stuff. You can’t forget about the food either. Their little kitchen in the back produces some great dishes to snack on with your drinks. My favorites were the pork buns and the chicken pot pie. I highly recommend this place if you live near by or want to check out a great spot in bushwick, Brooklyn.

This is hands-down my favorite bar in the 5 boroughs. The staff is inviting. They really try to get to know you. The last time I was there the bartender knew my drink order and took a shot with me. The open mic on Tuesdays is a hidden gem and is worth going to whether or not you are a musician. I just love this place.

This is a really nice Bushwick find! Now, let me preface it by saying that this is not your typical $ 3 Modello spot. Each cocktail will run you about $ 15. The ambiance is wonderful and is a great spot to meet up with a friend in the area.

Went on a Tuesday night and had a lovely time. Friendly bartender, really good cocktails and super yummy pork bao buns! Will definitely go back.

I do not normally review any place after just one visit unless it is spectacular or horrendous, and I rarely give 5 stars to anything, but the TOPAZ is really a gem that needs discovering. First, it is just a beautiful, spare, clean space that is reminiscent of an elegant townhouse parlor; totally unexpected in the emerging environs of Bushwick. Second, service was great: really friendly, warm and inviting. Third, food and beverage was downright solid and, in my opinion, fairly priced. The owner/bartender/general factotum has crafted a list of house cocktails with truly unique ingredients(honestly I have no idea what some of them were — Cajun shrubb??). We tried two offerings and both were great, but I highly recommend the Deadmans Mask. Beer prices started at $ 4 and most cocktails were $ 12, which in my neck of Brooklyn is downright cheap. There is a limited menu of small plates, again very reasonably priced. We shared a Chef’s Selection meat and cheese board that was very abundant — more then enough for two people for a full meal or a good starter for four. Per the owner, the meats are from a local shop, and the selection changes daily. The condiments included a bacon jam and spiced honey that I need to try and replicate at home. The cheeses were unusual and really delicious. We also tried the pork bao. I was expecting the ordinary Momofuku-style bun(not knocking those by the way, I’d walk a long way for one) but these were anything but: generous sliced pork belly, a spicy mayo, lettuce and scallions. Really yummy — I was licking the sauce from my hand. Someone near us ordered the grilled cheese and it looked great — big thick slabs of bread oozing with cheese. I will definitely be back to try more cocktails and other snacks(gotta get the bao again though) and to check out some of the upcoming music and poetry events the owner told us about. Well worth a subway ride back to Bushwick.

this bar was really cool. Nice spot for drinks/to go out. Not super packed, large space. The three stars is for the service. I understand the bartender is busy getting drinks– but she was extremely rude– my friends were trying to get drinks for 20 minutes… When the bar wasn’t even packed. It was a bummer she was so rude– my bf asked for his check 3 times before he actually got it. He waited 15 mins for this too and she kept asking again what he needed. Yikes

Definitely a great«gem» of a place to find in Bushwick. It is seemly out of place but seems to fit right in. Drinks are a little pricy, so expect to pay $ 15 per drink. I dream about those pork buns, so needless to say they are amazing. My favorite thing would be the décor. Overall, would definitely recommend as a quick pre dinner drink or if you want to really impress those Tinder dates.

Love having this beautiful bar in the neighborhood. Delicious drinks with great service and bartenders that really know their stuff. This bar is stunning, immaculately clean, with great artwork and lighting. I have come here many times with friends who have always enjoyed the cocktails and small plates. Great place to bring a group, happy to have topaz!

Solid drinks, relatively knowledgable bartenders, nice atmosphere. Overall, Topaz is a great addition to one of the few parts of Williamsburg that was missing a solid cocktail bar(Featherweight notwithstanding). Add in their happy happy hour specials and it’s impossible to go wrong.

What a gorgeous bar! Tasty cocktails, food is delicious. I had the mushroom bun and it was very flavorful. Bartenders are friendly, not to mention super cute. I highly recommend the Mexican Standoff cocktail. Definitely my new go-to bar!

Topaz is my new favorite bar, hands down. I live near Montrose and there’s finally an upscale spot that still feels very casual and inviting. Awesome cocktails and small plates. I had the pork buns per the servers recommendation, and they were on point. My friend had the Dead Mans Mask; it was smoky, sweet, and salty. I love scotch but couldn’t decide so the bartender(who was super cute) took me through a tasting and explained the subtle differences of each. It was a very special bar experience. I’m definitely coming back for my birthday because they have a party room in the back that takes reservations!

This place is a quality gem in an up and coming neighborhood. We were visiting NYC for the first time, found this place, and have been back 3 times in the 5 days we were here. The custom cocktails are unique and delicious. The«Dead Man’s Mask» and«Night school» used infused liquors and original combinations. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is artsy. It feels like this is what New York is al about. A must visit!

This bar is a great oasis of delicious bits, amazing cocktails, and A++ ambiance, and such a surprising little gem off the Montrose stop. The pork buns are uniquely delish, and the cocktails are unpretentiously artisanal. Ambiance & lighting is great(and clean good-smelling bathrooms, which is my litmus test). Great place for a date or an unwinding post-work cocktail. A place I could get dangerously drunk cause I wanna keep hanging out(and music is always on point).

Love this Bar!!! Best Old Fashioned I’ve ever had. It’s built it out with natural wood and marble tiles, a really beautiful atmosphere! The drinks are such high quality and the prices are really good. Cocktails range from $ 9 – 12. They have some small plates too but I have not tried them yet. There is candle light every night and fresh flowers. It’s one block from the Montrose Stop on the L train.

Finally, a great bar off the Montrose L train! Had a few Manhattans and pork buns here — both were wonderful and inexpensively priced. Service is friendly and draws a great crowd. Will be back here soon!
