History

Established in 1968.

PJ Bushey Landscaping and Garden Center is located in the small town of East Wallingford in Central Vermont. The business started in 1968 with a small greenhouse attached to the then owners home. In 1993 the garden center expanded to its current location on the neighboring property and over the years, has grown to include 3 grower houses totaling approximately 6500 sq ft., a 4100 sq ft retail greenhouse, a 1200 sq ft garden supply store, and an outdoor sales area for trees, shrubs, and perennials totaling just under 10,000 sq ft.

Business Owner

The owner, Melissa Rosenberg, received her Associates degree in Agricultural Business and Economics at SUNY Cobleskill and her Bachelors degree from the University of Vermont. She then worked for the UVM Extension office before becoming manager of P.J. Bushey’s Garden Center in 1998. She became co-​owner of PJ Bushey Landscaping and Garden Center in 2003 and took over sole ownership in 2007.
