Take to the trees at Pocono TreeVentures the newest aerial adventures ropes course in the Pocono Mountains, PA. 66 elements and five courses from beginner to expert take you through the trees. Zip line between trees, try your skills balancing on rope walks, climb platforms, swing on wire walkways and fly through the air on dual racing ziplines. You decide your skill level and pick your challenge. Overnight stay and climb packages available.

History

Established in 2013.

Opened in the summer of 2013, Pocono TreeVentures offers an aerial ropes adventure course experience for all levels of climbing, zipping and sliding.

Brandon H.

Manager

Brandon is a 2010 graduate of East Stroudsburg University with a degree in Recreation and Leisure Service Management with a concentration in Commercial Recreation. He is a lifelong resident of Monroe County and is a certified Ropes Course trainer. He is also certified in CPR, AED and first aid.

Pricy but worth it! I brought my 11 year old sister and her friend and we all enjoyed the few hours on the course.
I am in pretty great physical shape and I found the expert course to be very demanding and one «element» impossible to complete without pulling myself along the cable. I don’t have an overt fear of heights but definitely never racking just jumping off a tree at times.
On a gorgeous Sunday in November we didn’t have to wait behind any groups because of the way they have the course difficulty set up.
Staff was super friendly and very helpful. After lowering down a crying younger girl in front of us one of the guys talked my sister along a few of the more challenging elements. At one point N’s friend was unable to complete a very taxing ladder climb on the expert course despite words of encouragement and she was lowered down with a smile on his face.
Will definitely be returning with my fiancé so I can do the course at a quicker pace.

Have been here before and enjoyed it. Today there were tons of very young first timers who really held things up. Your admission gives you 2 hours on the course and they do extend your time if there are delays. Staff are young and seem inexperienced in handling crowds and intervening when situations arise. They are helpful in getting people down when they are stuck, however. If it seems like there are a lot of people I would seriously consider doing something else until the crowds clear out, which would be at least a couple of hours. I thought it was very unpleasant today and would not come back.

Overall the kids had a blast with the various courses as they navigated their way through but I was really shocked at how expensive this place was especially for the area! You basically pay $ 50 for adults (12 & Up) which far exceeds admittance into far better parks like Camebeach and Dorney Park! Guest of Fernwood receive a small discount which is nice but a more appropriate admission price would be $ 25

Courses:
After getting set up, brief instruction tutorial provided, then head up to start on the easy courses. Each courses consist of variety of obstacles to go through between each platforms. You’re tied to a safety cable with a harness and a set of carabiners at all times
Green/​Easy: First 2 are easy courses. Each obstacles are pretty stable (still moves around but easy to balance on) but pretty thrilling if you’re afraid of heights (like me) with several short zip line segments. Not that high up in the air. Pretty good variety of obstacles. For first timers like me, I’m pretty sure it would be challenging enough to be very fun.
Blue/​Moderate: This course is MUCH harder and located MUCH higher up on the trees compared to the easy ones. The obstacles don’t have as many cables on them so it’s very unstable and feels like you’d fall off very easily. It’s okay to fall since you’re hooked on to the safety cables, but it still makes you cling for you life! It’s very very very thrilling if you’re afraid of heights. You finish up by hooking yourself onto a self-​retracting lifeline and then jumping off the tree. How often do you get the chance to jump off a super tall tree?!
Black/​Hard: The facility closed before I had the chance to try
Zipline: 1000ft long. Pretty fun. They have 2 side by side so you can race your friend!
The only downside I would say is that they only have porter potties for toilet use with a porter potty hand washing station.
Overall, totally worth every dollar. It’s very fun and it’s a great workout. Great for all ages!

Had great time. Visited on a humid Saturday in August. Extremely friendly and courteous staff, said that they have been open for a little less than a year. Entire facility was clean, and fresh. Usually am sensitive to heights but the equipment was well taken care of, of a very high quality and gave me more than enough confidence to trust it with my life at over 30′ high in the trees. Don’t skip the ropes course and just do zip lines. The 5 courses are challenging but all manageable for modestly athletic people. Weight limit on course was 265lbs. Would definitely return with friends.

Visited today with a family of 5 — 2 adults and 3 kids (7, 10, 13). We opted for the ropes courses and a Zip Racer ride combo. After signing waivers, we were all instructed on how to use the carabiners by a very friendly staffer. She made it easy enough for my youngest to understand. We were then set loose on the beginner course. Perfect way to build up the little one’s confidence. And the wife’s. Challenging enough, yet very doable obstacles. We then moved on to the 2 easy courses. They increased in difficulty as you went along. Each was challenging and unique. I then accompanied my 10 and 13 yr old on the blue course. This was definitely a major upgrade in difficulty. It seemed smooth sailing until the last few obstacles. I made it through, but it definitely took a toll on me. Fortunately, our time was up after we finished. We then changed harnesses and made our way up the hill to the Racer. It was a short ride, but the kids didn’t mind. They loved it! Great staff — very helpful and friendly. Very clean facility. A tad expensive, but it was worth every penny to see all of my kids reluctant to tackle some of the obstacles and then mustering the courage to overcome. Great day!
