Established in 1998 by David Nauman, D. C. Nauman, Chairmaker and Cabinetmaker went into business to provide fine handcrafted traditional chairs, furniture, and woodwork to those customers who have an appreciation for old fashioned American craftmanship rarely found in today’s marketplace.

After years spent working in forestry, in 1989 David Nauman began to fulfill a longtime fascination with fine woodworking. Taking up the trade of finish carpentry, he began to learn the rudiments of woodworking. Several years of work in a custom stair shop led to the opening of his own shop, specializing in antique reproduction chairs, furniture, and woodwork. Years of building museum quality reproductions, as well as much time spent repairing and restoring antique pieces, have given him a skill set and knowledge rarely found anymore.
