Dels Lemonade of E Providence

Some people see Del’s as a trendy, smalltown beverage concession food truck, but in reality, their history goes back a long way.
Franco DeLucia made his first lemonade out of snow back in 1840 in Naples, Italy. They stored the snow in insulated caves until the summer months when they mixed it with fresh, ripe summer lemons and equal parts of sugar. He and his son brought their recipe to America in 1902 and in 1948, they changed the name to Del’s Frozen Lemonade, and soon monopolized the beverage market in Cranston, RI. Soon thereafter, they took their product on the road for sale across the state. Today Del’s Lemonade is sold worldwide.
Mix it with crushed ice and a little vodka, and all is well with the world.

Del’s is one of the few constants that hasn’t changed since my childhood; except maybe the number of flavors they offer. I just can’t get enough of it. The lemon is great but that’s not my favorite. These days I’m hooked on the grapefruit. Great stuff!

We went back here today for 2 lemonades, 1 jumbo and 1 small. Tasty… but not a piece of lemon, seed, rind, or whatever in either one! Where is Del’s management? I guess the company doesn’t care about their product anymore. I’ve had Del’s since the early 70’s, and this is the worst one ever. The owners either are too cheap or too lazy to make the stuff right. They probably go to Benny’s to buy the powdered stuff. Ughhhhh…

I love this place. In Brockton, there was a «Mr lemon“that used to drive around and serve slushies just like these ones here. It was refreshing to find this! Another topper is that they’re better than what I used to have as a kid. Definitely worth it!

Theres nothing better then sitting back and drinking a nice cold cup of Dels Lemonade on a hot summer day! It is so refreshing ! Dels has many flavors to offer but the best is the original lemon flavor ! It consists of little pieces or real lemon in the icy, sugary slush ! Also Dels sells pretzel sticks that go great with the lemony drink ! It tastes wonderful if you dip it in the lemonade or even just eat it separately! Dels is the best $ 2 – 3 dollar drink/​snack around ! The drink is well worth the price ! The service is usually great. The venue could be a little better, but overall it is great ! It is a must have ! Drop by today !

Great service, and super convenient! Hot summer days are cooled with a cup of dels frozen lemonade! Pretzel rods are delicious with the lemonade so definitely try them! Nothing more to say, just that I will be waiting for the day dels opens again.

Growing up in NC but coming to RI to visit family every summer, I used to plead with whoever was driving me around (my mother, an uncle, a grand parent, etc.) to take me to Del’s. The good news is that they never took much convincing. This is probably the best $ 2 – 3 drink and/​or snack that Rhode Island has to offer. Having one (or three) is an absolute must for anyone visiting the Ocean State during the warmer months, and this branch is especially good, as it has all the different flavors, good parking, and even a few benches where one can sit and bliss-​out. Note: this is not lemonade. It’s also not Italian ice or shaved ice or a snow cone. It’s one of a kind, and it’s kind of like a more solidified slushy. If you haven’t had it before, get the original (lemon) first, before you experiment with other flavors. Whatever you do, go here.

On hot day there is nothing like sittin’ back and sippin’ on a Del’s Lemonade. It’s a Rhode Island staple that out-​of-​towners have to try. Yes, Del’s have other flavors but there is only one true Del’s and that’s the original lemon. With bits of real lemons in a sugary ice cold slush, there’s nothing better. BTW, fans would agree that you cannot use a straw! This location has plenty of parking. The summer hasn’t started until you’ve had a Del’s! A+

I like this Del’s cause you can get the big jugs of lemonade for parties. We generally come here before every party for a jug of the lemon and the cherry.

Del’s lemonade is amazing but make sure it’s the liquid kind and not the powdered. huge difference. one is cool and refreshing. one reminds me of country time, its fakey. not so good.
but get the real kind with actual chunks of lemon and your good to go
