History

Established in 1948.

Founded in 1948, as the first pizzeria in East Peoria, IL. Shift workers at world headquarters of large construction equipment company would go to the nearby Davis Bros Tap for a pizza during shift changes and 2nd shift dinner. In 2002, the Davis’ retired and sold the restaurant to one of their loyal customers, Cheryl Scott. Davis Bros Pizza remains in East Peoria, IL and is still going strong after 66 years! Most famous pizzas are Deluxe and Supreme — also a frozen version of Davis Bros pizzas are now found on shelves in many retail stores, served in sportsbars and shipped directly to customers’ homes across the United States. Davis Bros — an adult fully loaded pizza, kids also happen to like! Real Meat — Real Cheese — Real Flavor!

This place has awesome pizza, but is way under staffed. We had reservations for 5:45 PM and received our pizzas at 7:45 PM. We love the pizza, but probably won’t be back for a very long time. We never heard an apology, but we did receive $ 10 off each ticket. That is the only reason they received a 2 star from me. In addition, the place needs a major facelift. I recommend doing carry out if you want this pizza.

Love this spot! If you’ve ever eaten at Larry’s Driftwood in Creve Coeur this recipe is the same or very nearly the same. Cracker thin super crisp crust, crumbly sausage, just the right amount of cheese (although upon sight, it LOOKS like not nearly enough cheese-​the sauce still shows throughout, but somehow it works). I have always had great service. Seems like a bit of a «hole in the wall» but I love this place.

Please don’t waste your time and money with Davis Bros Pizza. The pizza is horrible. We ordered a pizza with sausage, mushrooms, bell pepper and onion. The sausage was some sort of flavorless crumbs (seriously) and the mushrooms were out of a can. The pizza sauce tasted just like tomato paste and the cheese was some weird mix of american and mozzarella. The restaurant was only half full on a Saturday night.

I love Davis Brothers pizza and always visit there when I am in the Peoria area. The pizza crust is very thin and they add a mixture of cheese to the pizza. The pizza is sliced into tiny little squares and the outer edge pieces are the most delicious. I would give this place 5 stars, but the pizza is a little pricey for the area. That being said, I already am planning my to visit here when I am home for Christmas vacation.
