Donuts are great! The waiting and waiting is too much. Went in for breakfast, and we were not acknowledged for about 20 minutes because there is not enough help. The food is good. Donuts are delicious… but needs more help for customers.

I would like to give no stars because, after waiting more than a half hour, I didn’t get served. There are fewer than fifteen tables in this cramped diner and they failed to wait on a table. I don’t care how busy a place is, there is no reason for not taking an order and getting it in line to be made. I was a return customer … key word was. If you have nothing better to do than sit and wait and hope you get service, the food may be good. I feel disrespected as both a customer and a human … my money spends well at a lot of restaurants, but I don’t foresee trips to Carl’s until I retire and have both time and patience to sit and hope to get served.

HOLYLORDT the donuts! The bear claws! The fritters! AMAZING! They are a smaller operation, so please help them out if you’re gonna be picking up a dozen or more items… just leave a message on their answering machine anytime so they can be sure to have enough goodies for you(and everyone else). By 7:30AM the pickins were slim… and still warm! Just heavenly. If you forget to call ahead, you’re right, the woman will give you crap… so avoid their wrath and call. They don’t like being sold out… I don’t blame them.

Doughnuts are great. The sausage is really good. The tenderloin for lunch is delicious.

As a first-time visitor, the woman(owner I am guessing) was really rude to me. Good donut but the poor customer service speaks louder than that to me.

Great donuts. I tried these and another places and found these to be to my liking. They have the texture in donuts I expect. I had a couple long johns and one with fruit. I’m docking them a star on location. Obviously they can be seen from the interstate with the large rooster. It’s a tight squeeze in the parking lot. For the guys who just have to have a truck to drive don’t go here. While watching you inch your way out of your parking spot at a regular store is funny, seeing you park here is ridiculous. You order 3 donuts then grease your belly to get behind the wheel only to spend another 10 minutes getting out of here. Since the customer is always right I’ll blame the owner.

Only gave four stars for the amazing floor show given by the old battle ax running the show. I was just visiting and looking for a dunkin donuts but none in the area. Found this place with a search. Line was out the door. Good sign and in just a few minutes started to see something amazing. An old lady probably the owner was just plain rude to customers n employees. Something straight out of a bad comedy. Coughing rolling eyes yelling at employees in kitchen questioning customers. Presentation of donuts very sloppy yet people kept coming in. Picked my choices and left. Then the first bite said it all. Amazing and down right yummy. Look at the rudeness as a great entertainment and fill your gut with calories galore

We got there around 11am on a weekend and donut selection was pretty much picked over so get there early! I enjoyed the apple fritters, twisted glazed donut, and maple donuts. Cake donuts, cream filled donuts, and cheese Danish were pretty average.

When my boss and I are on the road traveling to customer sites we try to pick up donuts at whatever local Mom and Pop donut shop we can find. We got 2 dozen assorted donuts and a dozen specials from Carl’s. The yeast risen glazed donuts are wonderful! One of our customers enthused over Apparently this place has been open for 50+ years. They have had the rooster for 50 of them. I’m looking forward to trying some of their other offerings.

I was happy to find out that my sister has a great place for a weekend donut feast when we came to visit! She grabbed a variety of options and I was pleased with every single one — I am a tried & true Cub Foods donut fan but knew that the typical grocery store donut is less than impressive elsewhere. We truly enjoyed the twisted glazed donuts especially. And cute yellow box packaging too!

Best Donuts in the area! The«Donut Nazi» can be a bit intimidating but it’s worth it! Never had a bad donut here. Particular favs: Strawberry pinwheel, toasted coconut, Glazed, Apple Fritter, Coffee cake, Chocolate frosted cake donut.

Best donuts anywhere, especially the strawberry pinwheels! But note it’s tough to buy more than a couple of strawberry pinwheels without calling ahead & giving a days notice… you’ll get a «look» from the old lady working the counter, she’ll give a glance in the back, to the old man(her husband) who’s making the donuts, after that, maybe, maybe you’ll get the nod of approval«okay» from him… And the old lady will put a few more in. No matter, if you don’t call in ahead of time for extra pinwheels, all the donuts are delicious.

Came here Saturday morning around 7am and there was already a line out the door. The smells in this place are amazing and the donuts looked delicious. Sat down and ordered pancakes and bacon. Was sad they didn’t have b & g but I settled. The appearance is cute and country-ish, the owners clearly are proud and love their business. Just the two of them so I could tell it gets overwhelming, but they did a good job handling the customers who knew the wait was worth it. Only complaint– my pancake was not cooked all the way through. The edges were fine and delicious but the entire center was just batter. The gentleman who handed it to me looked too frazzled for me to bother, so I didn’t. When he came and got my plate he could tell I had just left the runny batter but didn’t comment. Overall, good place but take your time making pancakes! The rush isn’t worth it!
