Sagrero Tree Service

Sagrero Tree Service just left a half-​hour ago. They groomed and balanced my 500-​year old oak tree in the back yard and cleared branches out of three oaks that were on my house and too close to the sides. They also planted a new tree after removing and stump grinding a former small tree. Their quote was very reasonable and they came when they said that they would. First they spent an hour covering plants and windows and my neighbors’ property that was vulnerable to falling branches. Everything was well protected. They cleaned up better than they found it. The whole crew worked hard and everyone was very polite. The trees all look beautifully manicured now. I will be a repeat customer for sure. Excellent work and experience overall!

Efraim was super, professional, and true tree master. His crew was as skilled in their part in my tree removal, which was hazardously over grown too close to the house and a neighbors power lines. He is a master at his craft. Thank you Sagrero tree guys.

Efrain trimmed several trees on our property about 6 months ago. On a recent Friday, we were having our back fence rebuilt and I called and emailed Efrain asking if three was any chance he could swing by Saturday to trim a tree that was in the way of the fence. He called me Friday night to tell me he doesn’t usually work Saturdays but coincidentally he was working this Saturday, and he’d be happy to swing by to trim the tree.
He came by as promised on Saturday morning, trimmed the tree and talked to the fence builder to make sure everything was fine.

This is my very first time write review and I’m very happy to give Efrain and his team five stars. I interviewed four different local tree removal teams before I met Efrain. He came to the appointment on time. I have two big trees to remove. He took sufficient time to listen my need and provided technical knowledge to help me make decision. Efrain is the only one who walked to the trees and did brief investigation during the first meeting. He then took the ladder and climbed to trees and check them. Immediately I knew Efrain is the expert who has years of hands on experience and I can trust him to get the big tasks done. I was glad to choose his team. The work was finished professionally and clean. He also made sure to work with my neighbor to clean those falling branches that went to neighbor’s garden. Excellent work. I will be happy to refer Efrain to my friends.

I had everyone in my area (Pacifica) and on the Peninsula come by and assess my situation and give me a bid for either tree removal or a huge tree trimming.
Efrain’s quote was 50% or more (!) below all of my other quotes.
Of course the price is irrelevant if the work isn’t done properly.
Good news– the trimming was done efficiently, professionally and cleaned up properly.
Efrain and his crew of three guys are the hardest working tree workers I have ever seen. I’ve watched (stalked) other crews work in my neighborhood, and there is no comparison.

Tree removal and trimming is never a fun thing to do, but using this company was definitely the best decision.

I used Sagrero Tree Service back in 2004 to trim the huge oak tree in my back yard. They did a great job. Very efficient and cleaned up the mess nicely for a reasonable fee. Well, the tree has grown so much in 9 years and so I called Efrain again for a quote. One thing I like about him is that he answers his phone. I called 2 other companies before remembering to call Sagrero. The other 2 companies I had to leave a message and they didn’t return my call until later that evening. So when I called Efrain, he was able to come for an estimate the same day. He doesn’t toy with you by giving a high price and then pretending to give you a great deal with a discount. His estimate was the same as it was back in 2004.
So obviously I chose to use them and was not disappointed. They came at 8:00am as promised on the job date. Crew was 4 guys including Efrain. Efrain himself climbed up the massive oak tree to cut the branches along with another guy. They cut exactly how I wanted and even did some extra work for me without extra charge.
All in all, I’m extremely happy with Efrain and his company. He’s a very nice gentleman and also very honest. I’d use him again in a heartbeat.

Efrain, the owner is very responsive. He always answers the phone and can provide quotes the same day unlike other tree service companies who might not call you back. I got quotes from 2 other companies and Sagrero’s price is about 30% less. One thing Unilocal reviewers help me pay attention to is if the company has all the equipment to do the job. Efrain has his own tree stump grinder and was able to finish the job in one day. Prices of a small company with all the service and equipment of larger companies to do the job!

Efrain and his crew removed a very large palm tree in a very restricted space, cleaned up the entire area, ground out stumps and did it all in record time and with a great attitude. I would most definitey hire him again and recommend him to anyone for their tree work and cleanup. Thanks Efrain!
