History
Established in 1989.
George & Mike, the owners of Fireside Caterers, started as busboys in an upscale restaurant in their hometown the early 1970s. They were promoted to banquet waiters and then french service waiters preparing continental specialties tableside for fine dining patrons. College & business degrees followed as well as continued experiences in top local restaurants. Their dream was to open a catering business of their own. In 1989, the beautiful 4000 square foot Fireside Caterers was opened. The dream became a reality and a thriving home and corporate catering business evolved. Twenty six years later, their love of food, the use of only the finest ingredients and their passion for great service helps Fireside enjoy it’s reputation as the place to go for great catering, hot take-out, BBQ and deli.
Meet the Manager
Steve K.
Manager
Steve started his love affair with food and cooking as a teen in the busy seafood kitchens of Freeport and East Rockaway, NY. Culinary school and graduation were his next logical steps. Contacts at school helped him land a job at the famous Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, Virginia where he was exposed to exacting, top flight cuisine. Running kitchens in Aspen, Colorado and then Minneapolis, Minnesota further enhanced his resume. Late nights, freezing temps and a beloved fiancée, brought him back to Long Island. He was hired as Fireside’s first executive chef just before it opened in 1989. His extensive knowledge of many cuisines, along with his high standards and exemplary work ethic has helped Fireside of East Northport earn and keep it’s sterling reputation.
