Anyone giving this place under 5-​stars is crazy. Get the quesadilla appetizer it’s the best quesadilla I ever tasted in my life and I’ve been to plenty Mexican spots. This place has everything from atmosphere to delicious food drinks and music. Anytime I need to bring someone somewhere nice this is the spot

First time and last. I ordered chicken quesadilla and calamari to go. When I got home to open the container the chicken quesadilla looked like Dog food, did not look appetizing. Instead of placing the food in one container maybe it should of been placed in multiple containers or a container that has partitions. I ate it and it didn’t sit to well in my stomach and it was very salty. The calamari wasn’t fresh. It tasted like I was chewing rubber. Other than that. I gave it three stars because the staff was polite when I placed my order and waited and the décor was homely.

Love this place ! Girls behind the counter work their ass off, the margaritas are strong and you can get them in a pineapple or a watermelon if it’s a special occasion ! The food is delicious as well an all around great place.

Sometimes in college you have those stressful weeks that require you to let loose, so that you stay sane. My friends and I were looking for a place just to do exactly that. Lucky for us we came across this place. Cheap drinks and good food is exactly what we needed. I had a delicious chocolate martini. I will say the drinks are very strong here. I had a great time, and would absolutely recommend this place. I loved the décor, and atmosphere here. Even the bathroom was neat haha. Great place to meet up with friends. Hope to be back soon.

Super cute, pretty restaurant. I got here for a late lunch and happy to see a few people in here. If I’m not the only one who is late, I take that as a good sign.
The bar is very well stocked. It looks like it has everything you could ever want. Their drink list looks great, too bad I couldn’t indulge. Maybe next time.
Staff is super friendly and made me feel welcomed. I felt a little bad for them since I was in a rush. But we made due.
I got I think it was called the margarita salad with chicken. It was delicious and huge. I had to pack half of it since I was so full. The chicken was moist and well seasoned. I thought the avocado in the salad looked a little old. But that’s possibly because it was against the hot chicken. Dressing was delicious and I loved the cheese on top.
I would recommend this place and next time I’m around here, id come back.

Margaritas café is amazing. Food was delicious and the service was wonderful. I’m so glad we found this place and will return again and again.
Also the earlier comment about a sketchy neighborhood is completely false. It’s across the street from the library and a beautiful firehouse in the middle of a nice East Meadow neighborhood. Perhaps the comment below was a little vicious and dramatic.

This place sucks! I understand you do a «first come, first serve basis»…but a large party of 15 people, you should absolutely be allowed to make a reservation. I was looking forward to having my birthday gathering here, but I will now be bringing my party elsewhere. Also, the food is subpar, not at all authentic Mexican, and the service is atrocious!!! The staff is beyond rude. The neighborhood is kinda sketchy. If I were the owner of this chain I would rethink my entire strategy. Good luck to you Margarita’s Café, I will be bringing my business elsewhere, as well as any of my Mexican food loving friends… and I suggest you do the same.

I appreciate William for addressing this issue in the comments below. And I wish that the catering option had been told to me by anyone at the 2 different locations I called, instead of just a firm, absolute no. Perhaps your staff doesn’t know about this? Bc when I tried to explain to them the fact that it seemed it would be more convenient for both them and my large party to know in advance that they would need to accommodate that many people, I was met with nothing but «No! We absolutely do not take reservations!» I would have thought calling 4 days in advance would have been enough notice to work something out. I wish the people I spoke to on the phone had been a bit more accommodating or willing to offer a solution.

Margarita Café is a MUST if you are in East Meadow. Everything is delicious from the chips and salsa to the margaritas. I had the camrones en slasa verde, the beans were so creamy and the tomatillo sauce on the shrimp were to die for. We will definitely come back.

The Food there is amazing! Fresh! Delicious and flavorful. The steak fajita is everything. Tender even when well done. Drinks are on point. I will definitely come here soon again.

I love Margarita’s & can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this awesome establishment yet! The staff is so incredibly friendly, the food is seriously amazing, & the margaritas are always the best! For the past few years, I have made it a point to come here for Cinco de Mayo. The steak fajita is always my go to because it is tender, flavorful, & the sautéed onions & peppers are so yummy! The guacamole that is made table side is superior with just the right amount of everything. The service is always great whether sitting at the bar or a table. I highly recommend this restaurant when you want great Mexican food!

From the outside and first look of the place, you won’t expect much. But the fact the place is PACKED is the proof that the food and drinks will be good.
We had the classic Margarita and sangria. So good and so strong. Tasty and blended perfectly.
They provide you with complimentary chips and salsa which was so good, we kept asking for more. They make their guacamole fresh and right in front of you. It’s really good and fresh (obviously), but for the price it would be nice if they gave you more.
I had the fish tacos which were good, don’t think I’d get them again but they were good since I filled up on the chips, salsa and guacamole. My friends had chicken and pork tacos. Everyone was pleased with their entrees. It’s good quality Mexican.
The only con I can give this little spot is that it is little. It’s a tight squeeze inside, which can also mean it can be a bit noisy. But if you can get over this… then your golden and you should definitely stop in.

This place is great! Went there the other day for the first time and I will definitely be coming back. The restaurant was full, so we waited and got a drink at the bar. When we were seated the waiters came to us really fast and took our drink and food orders. The drinks are very good and strong. The food was also wonderful. They had live music playing and everyone had a great time. I would totally recommend this place for a birthday or just for a fun night out with friends.

Be Warned!!! You will not be able to live there. Once you try the food you will not want to leave or go back to your home cooked food. The food here is filled with so much authentic flavor. The staff is incredible. All the staff treat you like if your family. All I can say is Amazing, come and try it for yourself.

The best just keep getting better.
My wife and I have tried every Mexican restaurant east of the Hudson River, and a few to the west. There are absolutely no better authentic Mexican kitchens than at the (now) four restaurants owned and personally managed by these owners. The East Meadow location will be celebrating its five year anniversary, and at this pace, with many more to come.
Attentive waiters who get it right the first time, consistent dinners, clean bathrooms, spotless dining room, outstanding mixed libations, and stunning eye-​candy serving at the bars.
Becoming a regular is easy with such well deserved accolades.

I had the chicken fajitas. The margaritas are great and strong. The atmosphere is fun. It is not your mainstream restaurant but a fun place to go to. A mariachi band plays and hopefully does not linger long.

One of my favorite places for Mexican food! I’ve been going to Margaritas since they opened and would never look back. This place now has three locations and I don’t blame them for this business is popping! There is not one plate I did not like from here, and of course not one drink– Margaritas = delicious Margaritas!

While this place is not terrible, it is not great either. We went on a Thursday night, so there was a Mariachi band. It was very loud for such close quarters. It was also very dark in the restaurant. While I am all for ambiance, if I can’t read the menu because it is so dark, that is a problem.
On to the food. The chip and salsa were fine. I think the salsa was okay, but like the rest of the food, it really lacked flavor and no heat at all. We ordered the chicken quesadillas for an app, and that was without a doubt, the highlight of the meal. They were delicious. Crispy on the outside and just the right amount of cheese on the inside. They were really great.
I had a 3 item combo meal. I got the enchilada, burrito, and tamale. While I understand it is a combo, you can only get chicken or beef, no pork or steak. I was a little disappointed, but whatever. When they put my plate down, all 3 looked identical and small. The only way I could tell the difference was I got a chicken enchilada and a beef burrito. The sauces on the plate were very tomatoey and lacked any other flavor other than tomato. The rice and beans were standard, nothing special. Everything was just okay. When I have Mexican food, I expect the flavors to just pop in my mouth. Here all I tasted was tomato sauce.
As a side note, the do not have a ‘kids menu’. They do have options for the kids, but they are recited by the waiter only after we asked. Would like to see a menu.
Service was fine as well. Nothing really memorable, but not bad.

I came here after a very fun competitive bowling game next door, it was still a bit early for dinner which was great since the place wasn’t super packed yet.
I ordered the passion fruit martini and got to taste the classic mojito. My martini was really good and they aren’t cheap with the drink sizes, the mojito wasn’t to my liking since I felt it had way too much soda in it.
They served us some complimentary chips and salsa, the chips were okay but the salsa was pretty tasty.
We started with the fried calamari, it was good but nothing to rave about except for the two dipping sauces it came with.
Now lets get to my entrée which was the chicken margarita (#17), this is a bone in chicken that its first fried and then baked in a white wine lemon sauce. This chicken was the star of my whole meal. The chicken was super tender, juicy and the sauce was marvelous. The only con was that the chicken portion was a bit on the small size however it was so good I will let that go.
I will be coming back because I need to have this chicken dish again.

Man oh man! To read some of these incongruous reviews makes my eyes hurt! How can you work the nerve to complain about such a great establishment?! It’s ridiculous! I’ve always been one to operate with as minimal bias as possible by putting circumstances into account not limited to but including benefit of the doubt. These reviewers are bananas.
This is literally and hands down one of my favorite places to eat now. I’ve been here over 5−8x in the span of four weeks or so. I’m here so much my friends tell me I should be cut a check haha. That’s saying a lot. Anyhow there’s a pretty darn good reason I’m here!
For starters it’s the customer service is par. It can be better, however what can’t be better y’know? One thing I can say is that the food is bar none. I mean that’s sorta ridiculous to state in itself granted I get nearly the same dish 95% of the time! The № 44. Formerly known as the Mexican Faldita which consists of grilled strips of skirt steak served w/​black beans, rice and avocado w/​a side of green salad. It is to die for! LITERALLY, it’s good enough to convert a vegetarian!
Hahhaa I’m not exaggerating in the least bit! I’ve brought several people here and they concur with my ringing endorsement! I’ve also had their chicken quesadilla and their chicken breast dish. All good, yet none good enough to stand a chance next to the grail that is № 44! It’s also the most affordable steak dish on the menu. For $ 18, you couldn’t beat that with a Louisville Slugger! Note: I don’t care how you like your steak, you MUST order this prepared as, «medium well!»
Everything is organic from the 3-​dimensional Mexican artwork lining walls to the employees, to the food, and birthday celebrations. When it’s a patrons birthday, unlike the cheesy venues of Applebee’s and FRIDAYS, the celebration is actually cool and enjoyable! A live band comes to your table singing happy birthday or a song and at the end there’s a countdown where one of the employees places a sombrero on your head and opens your mouth for a served shot of tequila from the bottle! How rad is that?! Very rad, if you ask me!
The service can be at times sluggish, but I’ll let it slide because I always visit when they’re busy (peak hours). The servers are very attentive and I’ve yet had to complain about a lack of service by a server or host. That’s saying a whole lot. All in all, it’s a great place for a laid back date or to stop in for drinks. Tuesday is margarita special day where the margaritas are at a discounted rate. Don’t hold your breath, because they’re weak! Opt for the Special Margarita instead which consists of 1 part Patron (over house tequila) & 1 part Grand Marnier! It’s good, but take my word for it! Stop in to East Meadow’s best kept secret! I swear I wish there was one in Brooklyn and or theCity!

The regular margaritas and guacamole are amazing!
They have a live mariachi band that takes requests and if it’s your birthday they sing, make you wear a sombrero and give you shots! What more can you ask for?
The flautas are soo good accompanied with refried beans and yellow rice.
The tostaditas are good but way too big for me.
The enchiladas I’ve heard are also amazing.
Love this place. Service is great and it’s simply a fun atmosphere.
