Meridian Plumbing was founded in East Lansing Michigan in 1984 as a plumbing service company. Over the years we’ve added Heating, Cooling and remodeling. In 2012 we changed the name of the company to The Meridian Company to encompass all of the services we offer. We’re in the process of selling our house and had some plumbing and heating items come up on the inspection report that needed to be addressed. We went with The Meridian Company as they were able to handle all of the concerns which were specific to the water heater and furnace. Both their plumber and heating technician were knowledgeable, courteous and fixed everything in short order. I would recommend.

I called Meridian at 5:00pm as our hot water heater stopped working. They were upfront with informing me that I would be charged an after hours rate of $ 225 for the visit to service the water heater. Upon there arrival at 6:00pm the same night the tech spent about 15 minutes writing up a proposal to replace the water heater and sign me up for there service plan. The total bid was over $ 2500 (which is insane) for a 50 gallon water heater. The part that bothered me the most was he didn’t even open the panel on the water heater and try to diagnose the problem, he just immediately went into the process to replace a 7 year old water heater. Do not use this company!
