Yay! I’ve been going to Rita’s Italian Ice since I was a kid, and I’m so glad that it’s still here. On a recent trip out to Long Island to visit my mom, I made Rus stop here for nostalgia’s sake. The mango ice was as good, sweet, and flavorful as ever and the small-sized portion was actually pretty big. Rus got a milkshake(he did have to ask for whipped cream and a cherry), and seemed to love it. They’ve got tons of flavors, and you can even take home a whole pint. Rita’s will always be a favorite of mine.

One of those ice places you have to hit on a summer night, nothing like it! Located right on main street with outside service. Perfect for families, couples(old and young) or even if you’re going solo. Any time I go there the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. My favorite thing to get there has got to be the gelati. They layer your choice of custard on the bottom, place a thick layer of water or cream ice and then add a thick swirl of custard on top. So refreshing on a summer day! Look out for coupons and get a stamp card to earn free or discounted items!

Good enough, a little bit expensive.

This is my favorite desert place. I love their ices and custard. If I could go here every day I would. My favorite is the wild black cherry Gelati. It is not too sweet and is also very reasonable. I would never rate this place any less then 5 stars. And the folks who serve you are always really nice.

Great stuff every time. Awesome staff and get a Rita’s card. Try all the different varieties. I want to try the 2.5(?) gallon bucket but don’t think anyone would eat it with me.

i love this place, i’ve been going there since i was young, and it really hasn’t changed much. they serve variations on traditional italian ice and custard. i always get the gelati — a delicious parfait-like dessert: bottom layer of yummy custard, middle layer of italian ice, and another layer of custard on top! it’s wonderful! cheap dessert option — spent $ 15 bucks on 5 things!
