History

Established in 1955.

Chatterbox was opened in the founders home in Bay Shore where it continued to operate and grow until her retirement in 1989. The original owner carefully chose the new owner, Lindsay Parker, knowing that Lindsay would continue to grow and develop the programs with the highest od standards. Lindsay Parker continues to be the on-​site owner/​director, and hopes to have Chatterbox stay in the family!

Lindsay grew up with the dream of becoming a teacher. She saw this dream come true at a private preschool in Merrick. She went on to become the Assistant Director when she received a call from the owner of Chatterbox asking her if she was interested in taking over the school upon her retirement. This was an opportunity Lindsay couldn’t pass up on. Chatterbox has truly become her family, second only to her 3 children, their spouses and her wonderful grandchildren!
