Like everyone else, I love the wine selection here, I always pop in if I’m going to Aldi. It’s in the perfect location, and they always have new things in that catch my eye and I want to try. Pretty reasonably priced alcohol compared to the liquor stores by me in Rocky Hill.

Great selection of wine. The owners are knowledgable and very very nice. Always great customer service. The staff will acknowledge you right away. If I prefer to browse on my own, they are polite & move on… When I need help, I always get a great recommendation, for a great price. I always stop in when I need a great bottle of wine with dinner. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area.

Kay’s beer selection is very impressive. He helped me pick out a few things, and hooked me up with a rare beer that was not part of the regular display. The staff is enthusiastic, bordering on pushy — but it’s worth it for the great service that they provide.

Unreal beer and alcohol selection. The father and son dou are perfectly educated in beer and liquor to makensure you get exactly what you want. I went to the store a few times in the same week and they rewarded me by throwing in a beer or two for free. Great service and again great selection

It’s a thin, blurry line between attentive and pushy, and sometimes the folks at Kay’s cross slightly over. I understand that they are there to sell, and sell they do. They’re also astute enough to know that if you dismiss them with a gentle, «I’m just going to look around for now» that they’ll immediately back off. For me, the selection here more than makes up for the salesmanship you’re subjected to(it’s actually refreshing compared to the indifference you’ll encounter in some other area stores). They’re knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their vast beer and wine selection and they also have some interesting specialty drinks on the shelves. Friday afternoons(3 – 7 p.m., I think) are tastings where you can sample the featured product — and of course, buy some to take home.

3 stars. on on hand, they have lots of the good stuff. i cant speak of the wine, but the beer selection is by far the best ive seen in the local area. you want to go tailgating at the rent and looking for something a bit higher class than natty light? i will say though I am a little turned off by the down your throat the second you walk into the place. id be totally ignorant and associate the area with the attitude, but its not my Unilocal to do so, just a up in your grillmax from the second you walk in the door. i also went in once asking for a wine between 15 – 20 and was pushed into a 24 dollar of wine, in and out i guess
