Window World of Northern New Jersey

I wish I could find out if this business would be ideal for us but I can’t. I know the exact dimensions of the windows I need and unlike the other competitors, they won’t give me any information over the phone and I instead will have to sit through an in home consultation. I explained that I first needed to know if they would be within my budget but they «don’t do that». Unfortunately, I can’t leave large windows of my time open, waiting for someone to show up and do their thing, unless I know there is a reasonable chance I might hire them. I will now use the group that quoted me by phone and then came to my home the next day to measure and confirm. Customer service wins out on this one but it would’ve been nice to know if I could have saved more. My rating is for customer service

2 months ago we were shopping for siding and windows. We wanted to replace 10 windows and the siding for the top half of the house. Aaron came to our house and sold us on Window World of Northern NJ. We signed a contract with Aaron and Window World and gave them half the payment. Aaron eased all our fears and assured us of their work. He explained that in 6 – 8 weeks we would be scheduled for our install. It has now been over 8 weeks and we are not even scheduled for an install. Aaron proceeded to take our check and we have not heard from him since, even after countless phone calls and texts. In fact we had to call Window World to schedule a measurement, they did not call us. We have now been calling for multiple weeks only to continue to reach an answering service and to never have a phone call returned.
The one time we were able to speak to an actual representative our call was transferred to Patrick. We were told Patrick was the manager and he would help us. Instead of helping us, or apologizing and easing our fears about lack of communication and customer service, Patrick continued to try to talk over us and explain that the company did not operate by returning phone calls to customers and that we were not a priority. We were told not to call back, they would call us when the product was ready and they would install. Since that phone call there has been no communication from Window World about when our install will be scheduled or if our product has even arrived. We have since started the process of trying to contact the company again, but alas, we are greeted by the same answering service that tells us they will take a message and someone will return our call.
This is our first home, and as first time home owners we are very careful and thorough with any decisions about our home (especially ones carrying a price tag over $ 10K). By choosing Window World we thought we were going with a company that would back their work and have great customer service. At this point not only are we concerned with the customer service, but also with the work. Thanks to Patrick we understand that we are «not a priority» and if something should go wrong with any of the product that they install on the house we can expect to not get a return phone call and have to chase them down the resolve any issues. At this point we would rather have our money back than run the risk of there being any issues with the install or the product down the line and while we wait for Window World to get around to us and resolve things, damage being done to our home.
Thank you Patrick and Aaron for your dedication and commitment to what it is you do. You really let your customers feel how passionate you are about your work. And to think a simple return phone call could have put our minds at ease.

3 ½ months now and still no windows, every week when I call I get an answer that they are coming next week… But no windows yet
