Valvoline Instant Oil Change

This place is very expensive and overpriced compared to well just about anyone else charging for an oil change if you want synthetic. Also they always try to pressure you into unneeded services. The last time they were trying to tell me I needed $ 359 worth of stuff to do, p. No thanks just change my oil. I even got a second opinion and none of the things they tried to get me to do were needed.

The positives: Employees were friendly, efficient, and I was out in 16 minutes flat. I never felt pressured into doing any of the recommendations that were made. Also, they give a military discount which always scores points in my book. The fact that all receipts are electronic is another plus.
The negatives: Really only one. The prices. Synthetic oil change cost me $ 72! (Did i mention this was WITH a coupon?) Jeez. Considerably more than what it would cost me at my car dealership. I’ll go back if I’m in a pinch, but other than that I’ll probably stick with my usual spot just because of the price point. If you work in the area, however, and are desperately in need a quick oil change, this is your spot. Chase, my technician, was very pleasant and speedy.

Good service, efficient and polite. They recommend a lot of services and extras, which can be a bit annoying but probably in the best interest in the car.

Very quick. Very nice. Smooth transaction going to valvoline saves you time especially when you’re always on the run. My «helper”/“man-above ground» was very nice and went through all the usual checks on my vehicle. He checked all my lights, wipers, fluids (well not all), tire pressure, and the battery. Within 18 minutes I was in and out with a $ 37 Bill. –Not bad

Of course they will offer other services — what place doesn’t? but just decline them if you don’t want new wipers, air filter etc.
I do like that they check your lights, blinkers, air pressure and top off all other fluids. Additionally they will rotate your tires and offer other services like new battery or serpentine belt.
On top of all this they keep you informed with the whole process — announcing out loud everything they are doing in a regimented procedure.
No reason to go anywhere else plus you can get a 5 $ off coupon at four

Dishonorable. I asked for a transmission change, and they quoted $ 150 for the change. I questioned the amount and why it was so high, and they claimed it was due to the process they used. Ok, fine. Then I asked what Honda would charge for the same, and I was told that Honda would have to «remove the plate» to change the fluid — at a cost of $ 250. I’m not an idiot when it comes to cars, so I declined the service. It was when I was quoted $ 80 for synthetic oil, which is less than $ 60 at Honda, that I put the keys back in the ignition and drove away.
By the way, at Honda now and a transmission change is only $ 80. And they don’t remove the plate…

Really is instant! You never even get out of the car. Very efficient, not any pushy up sales. Fairly priced, too!

Sell, sell, sell… why can’t they just change the oil without trying to sell me a million other things– $ 65 «premium» oil? No thanks. A lot of tension in the place as well-​managers constantly reprimanding staff (who are actually the only good thing about the place). Unpleasant experience to say the least. Will not be going back.

Place is awesome. First time I’ve been there and everyone was so professional and efficient. I was so amazed in how everyone was so polite with still making sure you felt comfortable.

I’ve taken my car here for long as I’ve had it. I have a Honda accord but I’ve taken to this place for six years for a total of 148,000 miles. They do try and sell you on services but I was brought up to believe that if you take care of the things that take care of you they last. There were two occasions where my check engine light was on and they scanned my car gave me the code so I knew what to ask when I went in to my mechanic and they shut the code off for me.

Shady, try to sell you everything under the sun, follow your cars makers recommendations, not the old 3000 mile rule. The oil change was fine, what was not fine is that for the first time in 5 years of owning my car it did not restart. How convenient they happen to, sell batteries there, they obviously loosened the connection and then reconnected it when jump starting the car, in hopes of selling me a battery. I will NEVER go ther again, I have no, tolerance for those sorts of business practices

These guys are good. Excellent customer service. Polite and courteous. I was expecting the typical rude and insensitive service, but was I totally surprised. Thanks for starting my weekend off on the right note!

This is great service. The prices are not the cheapest you will find but they are not jacked up either. I went for warranty service so more than a few fluids needed to be flushed and replace (Summer ’12), the prices for some services were:
All Synthetic Oil Change: $ 74
Radiator Fluid Replacement: $ 110
Transmission Fluid Replacement: $ 150
Power Steering Fluid Replacement: $ 70
Some of the good things:
1. I stayed in the car the entire time, it was like Drive Thru.
2. There was audio and video recording at all times, all changes and fluid levels were either shown to me or were double checked by a different team member. A few years back at Sears, I had the misfortune of trusting them and they ended up stuffing one and a half times the amount of engine oil then was needed, with double checks you are unlikely to experience that scenario here.
3. They performed 19 other checks and checked all my lights as well.
4. I was in and out in less than half an hour.
5. Of course they try to up sell the recommended services but are not at all pushy and will provide you a printed receipt (email copy as well) of what they checked, what they changed, and what recommendations they made. So if you have doubts about getting something done immediately, you can have that checked/​repaired elsewhere or at a later time.
My technician was Ariel and my experience was really good and I will be going back.

Why must this place ALWAYS try to insist I need things done to my car that do NOT need to be done? It just makes me not trust them and never follow their advice. It is a convenient location, and if you time your visits right, not too long a wait.
I also asked them to send reminder cards every 5000 miles (as per manufactures recommendations), but they will not do this. why?
SO– not the worst, but far from the best.
