King River Chinese Restaurant

The service was very fast, food was good, portions were large, and price reasonable. Excellent local take out restaurant.

I went to get take out from King River once years ago. I saw the cook in the back pick up the cooked meat and squeeze out the excess oil WITH HIS BARE HANDS before throwing it into the takeout container. Obviously I never wanted to back there again. Recently I noticed its been renovated and had the Health Department A in its window. I thought it was worth another shot. While I did not see any more health violations in the restaurant, the food had a very strong chemical, almost plastic taste to it. I will never be back again and its too bad since its on my way home.

I’m sick with a cold so L wanted to get some Chinese food delivered since I didn’t feel like cooking. I have never ordered food from this restaurant before — with only a handful, yet, positive reviews, I was willing to give it at least one try.
L ordered the Wonton soup, Beef Lo Mein and an Orange Beef. I’ve yet to have an authentic wonton soup in this area, and clearly I wasn’t about to either. It arrived lukewarm, tasted slightly better than the ones in the area, but nothing compares to what you get in Flushing. The beef lo mein was decent, huge portion. The «crispy» orange beef was horrible. The quality of the beef was questionable, it was soggy and sitting in a sweet and sour sauce. It should not have been listed as one of their chef’s specials, what a disappointment. I should’ve simply ordered from JJ Garden.
Big portions doesn’t mean the food is good. Their orange beef is clearly one of the worst dishes I’ve ever had, I highly doubt I’d ever order from them again — especially with L getting sick from the food.

They give a massive amount of food and are so quick! Plus they are super clean. They’ve up their prices a little bit, but nothing too drastic.

Good, cheap, clean food. What else can I say?

The best chinese take out by my neighborhood. Best chicken wings plus the tastiest Sha Cha chicken I ever had (high recommend). And i havent come acrossed any other chinese take out that makes it. I eat here everyday if i could.

This is a fast food Chinese restaurant with limited seating and is therefore more welcoming for patrons seeking take-​out.
They seem to serve larger portions than other places for the same price. Their food tastes more authentic than other Chinese fast food places. The service is quick and friendly. When you order, ask for the hot oil sauce instead of the regular hot sauce-​it is well worth it and at no extra cost.
