Well I just left this place here, and I’ll tell you! I never had a onion, pepper sausage sandwich with EGGS! Yes I said it eggs, if I’m missing something please correct me… but I found it to be over powering the sandwich. So what I did was I picked up out all the egg pieces from it. I mean it was unpleasant to do that, but those egg(yuck) I think they should asks if you want eggs on that type of sandwich… Yea I don’t think I’ll go back there. Fucking eggs man cmon on!

Disgusting horrible gross. Had a slice off regular and a square. The cheese fell off like someone skin with 3rd degree burns .the sauce looked and taste like vomit. Had to spit it out immediately. The crust was so rubbery and not cooked . The place smelled like a truck stop bathroom. A 10 year old kid rang me up on a school day at 12:30 in the afternoon? How this place is still in business is beyond me. I have to ask myself is there that many people that really think that this place is good. Is there that many people that have no taste buds what so ever. Never never again.

I ordered a gyros(yee-rohs) last night. Of course the young man behind the cashier told me I mispronounced gyros. He should actually look it up and know what he is selling. ITISNOTPRONOUCED«JIY-ROH.» By the way, gyros is singular form! Let’s Google it! One of my pet peeves is when people do not research about what they are selling or just plain do not understand what they are selling. Part of selling something is to know what you can about your product! I’ve seen this happen in car dealerships and electronic stores. OMG. I can’t. Pisses me off. I’ve been to authentic Greek restaurants and at least they know what I am saying. GEEZ. DUDE at Airways. nothing against you, but dude, get it straight, learn some Greek! I wonder if he even knows that gyros is Greek. Oh, the meat in the gyros was salty, dry and somewhat skimpy portions for $ 8. I’ve had gyros that has been way better. The sandwich was laid out on the takeout plate flat. I never had it this way before. I have no problem with that though. I prefer my gyros flat. Makes it easier for me to dissect. I give you one extra star for a flat gyros! hahhaha. Whatevs. Next time, I am going to a real Greek place. My neighborhood needs a good gyros place within 4 blocks of me. SADFACE.

I’m completely done with this pizzeria. They are the worst!!! I use to love them but as of lately their food is pretty gross. Going to find another pizzeria for my family. Very disappointed in their food and customer service.

The pizzas are good. The grandma’s Pizza is nice and crunchy. The pizza bread is not good and the Tiramisu dessert was too frozen to eat. We took it home and ate it while it defrosted, good as an ice cream.

I hang my head in shame as I type this. My husband, let’s call him traitor, for the first time in 4-months-short-of-3-years, returned to this establishment. He ordered the gyro platter to eat in and brought home a gyro sandwich for our son. He also brought home a surprise take home container with all the iceberg lettuce they filled his plate with, called salad. My son’s gyro sandwich was no different, he disassembled it and pulled out the plethora of lettuce because he couldn’t see, nor taste the meat(and he likes lettuce). Between the two of them, we had enough greens and a core to feed a stable of animals. Will traitor never learn?

Delivery: prompt. Pizza: fresh. It’s exactly what we order and want every single time. We get the cheese and gyro mostly, but we’ve also tried the veggie before and it was great. You can’t go wrong with this place. I don’t know what everyone else is talking about. I’ve been ordering from this place for a year and a half. They deserve the 5⁄5.

I ordered a lasagna slice the other day, via phone for pick up. The lady answered saying that they did in fact sell lasagna slices. I called back about an hour later and placed my order for pick up. When I got there they told me I had to wait and charged me eleven dollars and change. I was super surprised at the high cost but when glancing at the menu I noticed high prices for everything. After waiting an additional five minutes upon what was told to me on the phone I received an actual lasagna. I told the man, who appeared to be the owner, that is not what I ordered. The woman explained to him that wasn’t what I ordered and he proceeded to give me an extreme amount of attitude telling me, «real Italian places don’t sell that kind of stuff.» I asked for my money back. I will not be going there again for anything!

As far as pizza places in Queens go, this place is amongst my top 3 places… We get the pepperoni and it is always fresh and well done… The wait time is pretty good too;usually a pie takes about 30 – 45 minutes. The guy who answers the phone is not super-friendly, maybe that’s because they’re so busy. We usually order in, so we call quite often. If you go there, prepare to find parking extremely difficult. They are right on Astoria Boulevard. It can be hazardous sometimes…

This neighborhood seems to lack quality eateries. It’s either meat laden fast food or meat laden storefront dives. Your only alternatives appear to be Starlight Grill, Buccaneers Diner or Airways Pizza. Today we try the latter. Approaching the store, you see parking is at an absolute premium here, at least partially because of a local hardware store. I had to park on a neighborhood street 3 blocks away. The door has a sign for«free wifi» but it’s password protected, and I didn’t feel like asking for the password from the employees, because they all seemed very distracted. When it was my turn to order, it took the employee about 5 minutes to take my order from start to finish. All I had to order were 4 specialty slices and 2 sodas. Before the gentleman could finish taking my order, he was helping other customers, answering the phone, and going to a separate kitchen section apparently to supervise. I thought if I asked for the wifi password, I may end up distracting him, which might have kept myself there for another few minutes. There was one other gentleman there, whose sole task was to make pie after pie after pie of Sicilian while the other gentleman appeared to do 3 – 4 tasks at once. He told me the restaurant did not have felafel. I was disappointed. This place appeared to be a Italian Greek fusion restaurant, with spinach pie and gyros, and you don’t even have felafel? I think The Greek portion of the menu should have more for vegetarians. Another thing that annoyed me was that the employee did not tape the pizza takeout box shut. Even one small piece of tape would do! This is the first time I’ve ever been to a pizzeria where they did not tape the box shut. The specialty slices I ordered were improvised, simply throwing spinach and eggplant on plain slices. The specialty slices they had ready all appeared to have meat. But the aforementioned slices I ordered were tasty enough and the price was right. $ 17.50 for 4 specialty slices and two drinks is not bad at all! Also while I tasted the plain portion of my specialty slices, I noticed it had that nice, classic New York plain slice taste. You may be better off with just plain pizza. Overall, I don’t think it’s great, but it’s good enough, especially if you find yourself in this neighborhood with a hankering for pizza.

Quick delivery, great service, great neighborhood pizza! Love the regular slice, as well as the Sicilian. And the«Grandma» slice. Delicious! Oh, and they now serve beer & wine.

Barely got my two stars. When I first walked in, my order was taken in a very rude way. It almost seemed like the guys were annoyed at me walking in. Slices were ok at the moment but gave me a real bad stomach ache. I suggest staying away from their ranch. The service alone sucked so bad, now imagine the ranch messing with your stomach. The only thing saving this place is their location and the pizza is not bad pizza. I agree, these miserable people do not deserve your business.

Very sad to write this review as I have been a customer of this pizza shop through the years as it has changed owners/management. After a few negative encounters I’ve decided that Airways will no longer get any business from my family, my business and I. They have a habit of making several pizza pies in advance and leaving them out until they are cold and the cheese solidifies. These are typically slices with toppings. I regularly order pizza with pepperoni and have to request a «fresh slice» to avoid getting an old slice. However, if the owners are not there the guys behind the counter are not always cooperative and on more than one occasion I’ve just decided not to purchase anything because they don’t want to give me a fresh slice. The most recent being about 3 weeks ago when the tall man that works there told me that there weren’t any fresh pies. However, there were several young men that just entered ordering more pizza than they had on display. Smh Because they are a local business and the pizza is really good when fresh, I decided to try one last time. A few days after the fresh slice incident, my sister and I attempted to buy pizza again. The tall man referenced before was having a personal conversation with a customer when he saw us enter and after several minutes didn’t bother to pause to take our order and never greeted us. The other man working walked towards the counter twice, never greeted us and began to make pizza without taking our orders. So of course after trying to be patient we left and have yet to return. Management really needs to ensure that customer service improves because they have lost a loyal customer. I plan to tell these stories to anyone that suggests ordering from Airways.

The customer service was horrible. I ordered a Sicilian slice and a regular slice then the cashier charge me 6.25. Then when the foods done he tells me to pay 5.50, forgetting that I paid 6.25 for it. We went on for a minute of telling him I paid 6.25. They have really dumb people working there and it’s frustrating. The pizza wasnt even that good I give the Sicilian a 2⁄5 and the regular slice a 2.5÷5. Never buying from there again.

My boss ordered a Greek salad for me. She ordered infront of me and said to replace the anchovies with grilled chicken. I got my salad and there was still anchovies in my salad. As for the grilled chicken it wasn’t warm. It tastes like grill chicken you left in the fridge for a week and is crusty and hard. It was not chewy. It was like a old cracker. And there was only one grape leaf on the salad and barely any salad. There pizzia is good not the rest of the food. No effort. My boss orders all the time for the college and Everytime I think it will be better.

Placed an order through Unilocal and everything was pretty seamless. They even had my order ready a little earlier than expected. I’ve been getting pizza from here for the better part of 15 years and their quality and taste has been pretty damn consistent. Can’t complain, especially since there aren’t really any other pizza places in the area. Domino’s doesn’t count. Try the grandma.

The food and the pizza are good but my complaint is at the actual location. I rather order than go to the restaurant because i feel very uncomfortable there. The last time i was there I was very uneasy and annoyed with the guys that work in the kitchen area that i told them how inappropriate they were, I don’t think they understood English. Every time I went they would just stare at me and lick their lips. Its very creepy because the whole time i was there they just stood there with their nasty looks. I never went back there again.

Pretty good pizza, and consistent on each pie. This is the only legitimate pizzeria in the area. Love their gyro meat pizza.
