Piemonte’s Dundee Chevrolet

This dealership is subpar to other dealers. Service reps rarely have solutions to problems. On my latest visit I needed my car door (2015 Malibu) looked at because the gap is off and the door it hitting a plastic piece (which has already broke once due to this issue. They replaced the part but never fixed the issue). According to the rep it’s a common problem. Believe the reps name is Brian
The service rep looked at the door and agreed the gap was off and told me I had to take it to the body shop. They asked me what day and time would work for me, said they would call me back to confirm the body shop had an opening. If not they would give me other availability. That appointment date has passed and still no call from the dealer to get me in… I’m assuming they threw out the post it note as soon as I left.
Could never recommend this dealer and I’m actually starting to lose faith in Chevy after being a lifelong customer and recommending to everyone.

I went in for an oil change and tire rotation. I was informed that my vehicle had a few recalls and they were going to take a look at it and provide me with all the details I needed. First thing I asked was how long was this going to take. I was told 45 mins to an hour.
Well an hour and 45 mins later I was called to come pick up the vehicle. I asked the cashier about the recall items since I didnt see them on the detailed invoice. All I saw was the oil change. They knew nothing about it the recall items. I went down to the service center and no one was there to assist and answer my questions. So that issue is still unresolved.
Also, EVERY TIME I come for a tire rotation, my tire sensors display an error message afterwards. The last time this happened, I was told my sensors were all damaged and needed to be replaced. So I had to go through the hassle of getting all four sensors replaced. Well, I replaced them all and I’m still getting the same error message after my most recent tire rotation last week.
I believe the techs are both young and inexperienced. When you complain to the service manager, he just places the blame and points the finger back to the customer. No ownership or accountability whatsoever from anyone at this location.

This was definitely the best car-​buying experience we’ve had. Not only was it fast and efficient as it could be with all the necessary paperwork, but everyone was very nice and friendly and not pushy at all. It was also the first dealership we’ve been at where it seemed like the people working there were really happy to be working there. The salesman who helped us was also wonderful. I just can’t say enough about how great he and everyone else were in explaining things and helping.

2015 Chevy Tahoe — Service for oil change and tire rotation. The service rep was very friendly. He was accommodating and was willing to research a question about the Car Play feature available on the 2016 Tahoe. He was also willing to have them wash my car and clean the mats. The mats were spotless. The car… not so much. Only complaint.

I would like to start off by saying, «Of I could give this dealership a negative five I would».
My girlfriend was in bad need of transportation. She decided she needed a truck so I decided I would assist her as much as I could with it. I live in Arlington, Va but she is out in Hoffman Estates, IL. She eventually came across a 2004 Kia Sorrento. It was clean and appeared to run smoothly. We are aware of the risks buying used so I know what to expect. She drove the vehicle and had it looked at but at the time there were no codes or check engine light. Once the vehicle was purchased the check engine light came on and that was the beginning of our problems. Turns out that the codes had been reset and no we have a cylinder that won’t maintain compression. There also appears to be a vacuum leak. Now after getting this all checked out I have spent about 2k on repairs so far and will probably be looking at another 2 to 3 (if I don’t need a new engine).
If you want an honest to goodness deal and someone letting you know as much as possible about an older vehicle I would steer well clear of these guys. I used to sell used cars and learned there are two types of sellers, those that care and those that only want that dollar. Don’t roll any dice with these people, you are asking for trouble.

I was very surprised to see a bunch of negative reviews. They are all older than 7 months so I am hoping maybe this place is under new management. My experience here was nothing short of amazing. Tony was my sales rep and mike the finance guy as well. They really helped to get me into a car that I needed desperately. I have been in my car a week now and haven’t had any issues but I will update if I do.
I came in with my 05 Chevy Impala as a trade in. My car was in VERY rough shape, the transmission was slipping and about to give way any day which was why I immediately needed a new car. The inside and outside was also in very bad shape. They gave me 500 $ for the car when other dealerships didn’t even offer me 200 $. I know they did this as a favor so I could get the deal. My credit score is not good and they still got me a loan for under 300 $ a month and only 250 $ down. I bought a 2011 impala and drove it off the lot. 2 days later they called me to let me know they were able to lower my interest rate AND provide me with a warranty on my new car for only 20 $ more a month. Well worth it. So even after they had my deal and I drove it off the lot they still tried to get me a better deal after I had left the dealership, paperwork in hand. I am very happy.
Mike and tony you guys are amazing I will recommend you to everyone I know.

I brought my Chevy Camaro in for an oil change to my dealership at Al Piemonte in East Dundee, IL. for several reasons.
1. The service department personel are awesome, friendly, can’t do enough to please me.
2. I only (TRUST) my Camaro to my Chevy team ! ! ! !
3. They always do a great job !
4. I get to see and say hello to my sales consultant Tony
5. I can only imagine that the bad reviews are from the striking mechanics and there family members, because for me I have had nothing but great service. ! ! !
6. I am not an employee of this dealership.

Called to see if the ePrice included incentives/​rebates/​bonus b/​c the description on their website AND
said that the REAL price did not include incentives/​rebates/​bonus. Yet, it was $ 10k off MSRP. Got a sales person that said it did include it. When I read the disclaimer on their website, said he didn’t know and would call me back. When he asked his manager and called me back he said that the price was the MSRP. I laughed and hung up. Its so sad the car industry is still so sleazy.

I would give this dealer a –5! These idiots fuck you over! They don’t help you … They messed up my credit they ran my credit 10 TIMES!!! was there for 6 hours waiting for a bank and then came up with the stupid excuse that I needed to pay 3,000 in fines towards the bank to finance me?! Excuse me I smelled BS! First because they didn’t ask for check stubs I had them then his like you don’t make enough money. You would have told me that from the beginning then be of my credit. Excuse me my credit was 750!!! Now my credit is a 650 because every bank ran my credit instead of running it once and sending it out! They don’t help you they screw you over only way I found out was from another dealer that helped me take out a truck a better one for cheaper and made the process so much faster! DONT COME HERE STAY AWAY!!! I HATE THEM!!! Ppl work hard to have excellent credit and its stupid ppl like this that just want to screw you!!!

Last Monday I traded an 08 Chevy Trailblazer to age salesman named Dan Conley my 08 was in fairly good condition he talked me into an 02 Grand Prix which literally begin overheating while sitting on the lot but since I had signed the paperwork this was my problem they allegedly repaired it the next morning I drove it home the next morning I picked the car up it started grinding as I drove home I took the car to a local shop and was told it was a clunker at this time I drove back to the dealership they traded for an 06 PT Cruiser the PT Cruiser had issues as well but they said they would work them out only if I would get under a $ 200 a month payment which I did the next day the cruiser has a crankshaft issue which should have been caught in their pre inspection at this time I am still without my vehicle and they are allegedly repairing it at the at this moment if you buy a car here you are crazy they are nothing but rip offs they laugh at their customers behind their backs I stood there and watch them do it I can’t in my heart even give them one star for their service come Monday morning I believe I’ll be calling a lawyer

This has been the worst car buying experience EVER! I would never recommend this dealership to anyone. I purchased a brand new car in December and I am still having to return to have issues fixed. The customer service and lack of communication internally and to their customers is unacceptable. When I first purchased my car, I was having issues with my check engine light due to an automatic start they installed. I was in a loaner car for over a month while they tried to figure out the issue, during this time they were rude and not very helpful in trying to rectify the situation.
Next, they also were suppose to touch up the paint since there were a few chips in the door and front bumper. The first time they completely missed the second spot, so I then had to return in February to have it touched up. When I brought it in at the beginning of February they touched it up with the wrong color and it chipped right off. At that time they told me this was due to the cold weather, which is crap since the did the side door in December when it was even colder. So I finally returned this week, almost 4 months from purchase date, to get the paint touched up. Again nothing but disappointment. I dropped it off yesterday and was told I would get a follow up call today, surprise… no call. So I had to call them to follow up and was told my car was ready, I showed up at the dealership and my car had not even been touched, it is not scheduled for service until tomorrow. After 3 times of returning to this dealership for the same issue this has been nothing but frustrating. If I could return the car and be done with this dealership I would.
Stay away and go somewhere else where they appreciate your business.

Situation is getting better. Almost at the end point. Still got a little bit of the run around and no one was on the same page. Was introduced to Jameson who started helping my father and I. Final solution to the whole thing tho was Rich the general manager.
Still feeling uneasy about the talk we had about the whole situation. Not sure if we are being truly understood and valued as customers. Time will tell.
At least we settled out the issues and have seen progress. Final review will be the end once everything has been fixed.

I found a very specific truck that my company was going to pay cash for, so I set up an appointment to test drive it the very next day. I drove 90 minutes to come to this dealership and when I got here (yes, I’m sitting at the sales desk just long enough to write this review) they passed me to two different salesmen than the one I was in contact with. While I waited for the salesman to enter my info, there were at least 8 other employees yucking it up right behind me over a funny picture someone took. Then after waiting for 20 minutes in silence, the sales manager came over and said «oops I sold that because I forgot that you were coming» I have never felt so unwelcome in my life!

I actually have had no problems here. I needed a recall done on my cat and I did not want to drive all the way to Fox lake to have it fixed. Carlos answered the phone and was very polite to me and helped me figure it out. The strikers are kind of a hassle to drive by as they are incredibly verbally abusive and persistent. Carlos then followed up with me before during and after my service and answered all of my questions.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Absolutely terrible– rude on the phone, rude in person, services always take longer than they claim, prices are always significantly more expensive than they say.
A very poorly run dealership, Al Piemonte should be ashamed to have his name associated with it.
I would recommend you go to either Bigger’s Chevy on Chicago St or McCue in St Charles.
This is a terrible company, do not waste your money or time here when there are so many other car dealerships in the area.

Surprise!!! Another price… and it’s just the beginning.
We had made an oral and written agreement w/​this dealership’s internet sales guy for a Camaro 2LT RS in blue. This Camaro has navigation so we know we have to pay a little more. We agree and sign a paper for $ 29, 255, plus tax, license, etc.
Now the paperwork and terms of the loan are discussed. This is where they try to trick people.
PAY ATTENTION!!!
They just show us our final payment after our deposit and what our monthly payments will be. It’s not bad, but I want the final price though. The final price is more; it’s not what was we had agreed upon. Their manager, Rich, starts talking non-​stop and gives us a price that is an additional 2K more. I ask how did he get this price when we agreed to another? He gives me double talk and shows me his dealership’s rates and cost of the car. He tells us that his dealership breaks even and makes no money from our deal. My husband and I were shocked. We just want the car, no lecture. Over and over, this Rich shows how much the car is worth… blah, blah, blah. He’s losing money and no dealership can honor his prices. He keeps tapping on his calculator repeatedly and comes up w/​this 2K difference. He keeps talking total nonsense about advertising cost and gets REALLY loud. It’s embarrassing. Everyone in the whole dealership starts to pay very close attention to us. We have no choice but to do this publicly, the salesman’s desk is right by their front door. No privacy. It’s just too much. We leave.
Unprofessional and rude sums up Al Piemonte Chevrolet Dundee. I wished I had kept our signed agreement. I left it behind in our haste and embarrassment. If I hadn’t, this complaint would go to State’s Attorney Office.
But for now Unilocalers… Beware!!!

Plays games with the GM Employee Discount. Did not give a great up front presentation and ended up buying a Hyundai Sante Fe. Really liked the Equinox but got the same car if not a little more for about 3K less. They really need to do a better job of giving the customer the best deal up front.

Truck I liked, great salesperson (Tom S), approved for credit (albeit poor rates — through no fault of the credit guy) but really, Rick the GM claims the store policy is to not allow vehicles to be inspected by my mechanic???
Excuses tendered to me included:
My mechanic might break something. But I am just supposed to trust your 110 point inspection albeit with no warranty on a truck with 90k miles? How do I know the timing belt doesn’t need replacement? That the starter is still good? That the brakes have more than 500 miles left on them? All of those are 500‑1000 jobs — each… A hefty hit on a $ 10k truck.
I will use my mechanics report to nickel and dime you on price — like you do me?
Then Rick blows smoke up my rear by calling me a straight shooter, and having me shake on a deal at a price I agree to — albeit at a finance rate HALF of what the credit folks say is reasonable for a truck this old and with the paper the banks are writing just 10 minutes later after traversing from sales to finance.
If you go to Piemonte, KNOW where your money is coming from, where it is going, and ONLY buy a new car under full warranty — they apparently are stuck in the 1980s model of screwing with customers in the used car department.
