today was my first going in and eating here. normally I go through the drive thru and the customer service sucks! and it was almost the same way when I walked in. I went with my three year old and she wasn’t sure what she wanted. so we stood off to the side and looked. the workers seemed impatient and just stared at us. but then a small blonde girl walked up. now she knows what’s good customer service. she didn’t seem aggravated like the other workers. she was kind and patient and helped my daughter choose what she wanted. now I know some are probably like okay? but after a rough morning and having someone be so kind. it definitely made for a better day.

Coffee was really. That’s really all I got to say. I just love going to & reviewing different DD’s.

Service and food quality is always good to excellent. Only down side is they do not stock enough product and you may get second or third choice of donuts, croissants, etc, This DD is one mile from me so I go there a lot. Coffee has never been anything but excellent.

Le sigh. It’s still 3 measly stars. And it’s not because of stale, cold coffee, or issues with the donuts or food. Nope. 3 stars for a refusal to join the rest of us in the 21st century. For a strict adherence to a somewhat Luddite experience when ordering coffee at the drive-up. The thing that’s really terrible for me is, looking back on my original write-up for this DD location, it was 2.5 years ago, aka 30 months ago. You’d think they might have gotten with the times. As Charlie Murphy puts it… wrong, WRONG! A typical ordering experience here goes a little something like this: Drive-up person: Welcome to Dunkin Donuts, can I help you? Customer: Yes, I’d like 5 Pumpkin Spice Munchkins, one medium hot coffee with extra cream and one splenda, and one medium hot coffee with cream and sugar and hazelnut swirl. Drive-up person: Ok. …2 minute lull in DD/customer interaction Keith: …(to Melanie in the shotgun seat–«Like ok, what? Like ok, I’m going to give you your total in a sec, or, OK, just drive up to the second window and pay, or, OK I don’t give two diddly squats about what you just ordered?») um, hello? Drive-up person: You can go to the second window(in a huffy tone, sounding annoyed by my requests to communicate) So I confusingly get to the second window. Drive-up person: So what kind of donut do you want? Keith:(looking for the hidden camera prank show film crew that must be hiding in the bushes) Um, I ordered already. I wanted 5 pumpkin spice munchkins. Drive-up person: Mm-hmm, got it. Ok and you wanted a coffee with that? Keith: I wanted two.(throws hands up in air in utter disgust) Drive-up person: Cream and sugar, right? Keith: Yes, with hazelnut swirl. Drive-up person: Ok, that’ll be $ 3.03. Keith: What about my second coffee? Drive-up person: So what else do you want? Keith:(curses to self WTF! and takes a deep breath to re-center chi) Can I have a medium hot coffee with extra cream and one splenda? Drive-up person: So you want that instead of the coffee you ordered earlier? Keith:(drops car into first gear and careens into the ravine next to Santa’s Village This is an everyday example of a customer exchange at Dunkin Donuts. A truly aggravating experience where everything has to be repeated or ordered in triplicate to make sure you leave with what you really wanted. And it makes absolutely no sense why this is even an issue! They have a machine that drops the precise amount of creamer into your coffee whether you wanted regular or extra cream. Why can’t the human employees here be just as or more efficient than a cream dispenser? How hard is to put an order through the first time you hear it, so that some poor schmuck doesn’t have to re-hash the last 5 minutes of their life, not once, but twice? Fine, maybe your machines are down EACHANDEVERY F*CKINGTIME I COMEHERE. But even if that is the case, there is this thing called paper and pencil, have you not heard of this? It’s the most basic writing implement and stationary on earth, for civilized people. Even the cavemen were able to use their brains and put their thoughts onto the walls using whatever it is they found around them. Is that too much to ask of my local Dunkin Donuts; the Dunkin Donuts which, if rated by amount of $$ I’ve spent in order of all the Dunkin Donuts, would be number one? Dunkin Donuts. Please get your sh*t together. The coffee is good and hot, the donuts are donuts. But the ordering process at the drive-thru? That shit is for the birds. Ordering inside, no biggie. But outside, #fuhgettaboutit.

I go to this Dunkin’ Donuts probably three or four times a week for coffee or one dollar tease or iced coffee depending on my mood and time of day. Today at 5:30 I pulled into the drive through where I normally don’t have a problem ordering, But today my girl was rude, rolled her eyes at me, did not say thank you or even acknowledge me at te window before taking my money. I then also had asked for Carmel on my whipped cream which she did not deliver. Normally I’m not very picky but since she had an attitude I wasn’t going to hold back. I then had to ask for the caramel on my drink again, since apparently 3 times at the window wasn’t enough, and she rolled her eyes. These girls are never ever very friendly but today I just wanted to throw my drink back in her face. I will be limiting my visits for sure.

This location is always busy. I generally wait in line for a minimum of 5 — 8 minutes. However, I think it’s the ordering part of the drive thru window that slows people down. If there were 2 lanes, I think it would be much faster. Because after I place my order, it goes much faster. However, service is fine and food is always fresh.

I stopped here last week for a coffee before going to shoot. The spot is fairly new. The staff was very friendly and the coffee was perfect. Sometimes that’s all you need and want early in the morning and they provided it.

What can you say about a donut store, either the donuts are good, or they are stale and terrible. Sadly where I live, we don’t have any Dunkin Donuts anymore. We used to a long time a go, but its been forever since we had one. When we were driving passed this location I made my friends stop the car and turn around, just so i could go in and get a donut. They taste as good as I remember them, they were still fresh tasting at 8pm at night, I was in donut heaven!

Overall, a very nice and clean Dunkin Donuts location. I’ve been going here since they reopened this location. In my experiences, this location has been kept very clean and the donuts are fresh. I recommend this location to people in the East Dundee area who are looking for a place to feed their late night donut need.
