Sweeney’s Gulf Station

Gas station/​garage that handles repairs! What a combo. Very small operation feel. Not out to steal your money. Cheaper than big chains because less overhead and pressure to make quotas, I would imagine. Got my brakes changed here. He gives you a time frame, and you park your car to the side, and leave your keys.

When my check engine light came on my parents recommended I go to Sweeny’s before going to the dealer. They gave me a free diagnostic and informed me of a notice on the car makers bulletin that this was a recall issue and that it should be covered under my vehicles warranty. The day before I went to Pep Boys and they wanted to charged me $ 90 for diagnostic and could not tell me what the code pulled off of my car’s computer meant. I appreciate their honestly and knowledge. If I ever need any work done on my car, (hopefully, not for a few years since it is a fairly new model) I will be taking my vehicle to Sweeny’s. I should also not that my stepdad recommends them and he used to be a mechanic for Sears Auto. This is where he takes the family’s vehicles when the problems are too big to tackle in the driveway. I also observed they way they interact with the other customers that were present at the same time as me. Everyone seemed very satisfied with the work being done and especially the fair prices.

You have to love a gas station with free air pump. I wish I had known about Sweeney’s earlier because they are old school in the way they do business. Work is done at a reasonable price, no attempts to up sell for other work, and a job well done. Also, the mechanics know what they’re doing. Overall great place and I will keep bringing my car here (and stopping for gas!)

I liked how George broke down the work and parts I needed for service. Really great guy and cared about getting me back on the road since I was stranded far from home. I’m planning on moving to the area and this is a service shop I’d recommend and put my trust in.

If you have any car troubles, this place is where you should take your car. The owner, George, is a great guy who I can say is extremely honest with his customers. Small or big repairs, take it there, I highly recommend him.

Every interaction I had here was good. Its a service station, not much to write because I haven’t had any issues to write about but just a general good experience.

I love this gas station! Its one of the few gas stations that has an air pump for free ;) I went here a few times to pass my car inspection. They never give me a hard time for the most part. They are good people and they do a good job with whatever needs to be done. Gas here isnt too pricey either considering we are in recession right now.

Great mechanic that you can trust! George is the man. Prices are fair and they do just about all types of work. I moved 30 minutes away from here and I still use this shop b/​c it’s well worth it and can save me tons of money in the longrun.
