The Mockingbird Restaurant and Martini Lounge

My family and I just had the best experience at Mockingbird in E. Bridgewater. A co-​worker had recommended the restaurant to one of my sisters, so that sister and I decided it would be nice place to take our other sister who was celebrating her birthday. The friendliness and great service began before we arrived. I had left a message looking for a reservation and the owner/​manager called me back promptly and was so nice and pleasant. Our server was also extremely nice and good. Food arrived on a timely basis — not too fast, not too slow. The menu was very diverse. In fact, there were three menus — one that was if you wanted a prix fixe option where appetizer to dessert were all included for one price, another the list of daily specials, and the other, a regular menu. All had very enticing options. Some of us got pasta, some fish, some chicken, but all of us were very pleased with our meals. Everything was just extremely tasty and well-​seasoned, and the presentation was lovely. I had the Autumn Chicken and it was unbelievably yummy — maple sugar, cranberries, squash, and spinach made for a delicious rice mixture that accompanied the chicken that also had a sweet, autumn flavor — I guess that’s why they called it Autumn Chicken :). The birthday girl got a dish she was very pleased with, squash or pumpkin filled ravioli with seared scallops nestled in some delicious, cheesy sweet sauce. She also got a raspberry/​cranberry martini that she let me try that was awesome! Would I return? In a heartbeat. I can’t wait to introduce other friends and family members to this hidden gem/​secret. I’ve lived on the South Shore of MA for 13 years, but never knew it was there! All, I can say is «yum»!

We went for Easter dinner and as a party of 2 we had no wait. The device was great and despite the very strong apple martini we shared everything was delicious. I had lamb and my husband had chicken. The presentation was beautiful and it all tasted fresh and delicious.
