Skip this place it is under new management. They tried to raise prices when they first took over realized no one was coming in so they were forced to lower the prices. The new owners are rude and lack customer service skills. My daughter got a fill and eyebrows done. They messed up my daughters eye brows, they were uneven and spaced too far apart. the fill was just plain terrible there were bubbles in the new fill and they used old nail polish and the polish was peeling after a day. I told my daughter the minute she didn’t see Keith or Chan and one of the ladies she should have turned around and walked out the door. We were use to the good customer service of the previous owners. Skip this place at all cost, they don’t know what they are doing. If I want bad service I would have went to California Nails!

***LYNN location review*** First and only visit to this location. WILLNOTBEBACK. I went for a polish change. Anything else, I would have left. The place needs a good cleaning STAT! Filthy carpet and unsanitary conditions. I believe the young woman who did my polish was new as it seemed she didn’t have the knack of applying polish in the usual three, even strokes per nail. Towel draped over the wrist rest was stained and looked dirty. I asked for it to be removed. Tech did not understand what I was saying. Started out with a buff and asked if I wanted nails filed. I just pointed to one nail edge that had just broken as I opened the door to this location. Was it a sign I should not have ignored? :) Tech started to file my nails and I had to stop her. I wear my nails squared off and she completely filed off both sides of the 1st nail she touched, making it an uneven oval. UGH! Told me to wash my hands after buff and file and there were no paper towels! There was only one other customer in the place so it was not busy that basics should have been overlooked. Large screen TV was on a soap opera like show in their native language. How does that make the customer feel? Polish change took too long and was not great. Drying unit clearly states on machine that it will get warm when UV bulb turns on to cure the polish. This was regular OPI not gel polish. I had to tell my tech and the other young woman who appeared to be in charge that one side was not lighting up as the purple bulb was burnt out on that side. Neither employee understood and the other customer tried to tell them what I was saying and still did not understand. The tech that did my polish did finally walk over and still could not SEE nor understand the problem. Finally I placed my hands under the next unit and same problem! SO I had to sit with one hand under each drying unit where the one purple bulb worked but did not get warm as machine is marked. Sat there in a most uncomfortable position wondering how long I needed to have my hands under these old contraptions. Nothing under these units to keep sanitary after each customer uses. After my tech watched the other tech do a design on the one other customer’s nails I was able to get her attention She checked my nails and said«Okay». When I left I was able to see the sides of my nails were not polished! And since when does a nail salon NOT have retail stock to sell the polish they used on their customers? Luckily it was an OPI color I know is a current polish. This location is a pit. PLEASE clean this location, top to bottom. Will not be back ever. SKIPTHISDUMP.

God I’m so pissed at this place. I tried the shellac for my hands and it chipped the next day. I should never do anything but my pedi here !!!

If I could give no stars I would. I went in for a brazilian wax and boy was it a disaster. The woman didn’t speak any English and I only speak English and Spanish so there was no communication. She didn’t leave the room so I could get undress. She didnt put gloves on and began. I had to ask her several times for the numbing spray. She barley put any on. She began to wax and burned me. And laughed when I told her I was in pain. I will say she did change strips everytime she was going to wax a new section. I was in a lot of pain and she didnt stop when I asked her for a break. She missed my whole middle section. And said it was ok. I explained to her that I wanted no hair and she said something in a different language that I didn’t understand. She then proceeded to use tweezers for the stray hairs and laughed when I would jump. I asked her to please stop because it wasn’t a big deal. She continued anyway until I grabbed the tweezers. She then began to wax again and didn’t blow on the wax. I told her it we too hot and she smiled and said its ok. To wrap it up I don’t recommend this place to anyone. Sanitary is a huge concerns. Professionalism was horrible. She asked me for a tip when she was finished, that she did not get. I payed $ 30 to be in pain. Please don’t go there for a waxing. And if you do wear dark underwear. They WILL make you bleed.

I hate to do this, but Lily’s ended up being a real waste of money. As I mentioned in my initial review, the woman doing my nails did not listen to me and did not do what I asked, both in terms of nail design and in terms of putting the gel over the design to make it stay. Well, two weeks later and all of the topcoat peeled off because the gel was UNDER the polish not over; every single nail had lifted from the bed of the nail, most of the glitter flakes had fallen off because again, gel underneath and not over the design. The pedicure smudged that night even though I waited HOURS before wearing closed-toe shoes. I went to get my nails done elsewhere yesterday, and they had to take off ALL the nails from Lily’s and start fresh because the quality was so poor. Won’t be coming back at all. For a super-cheap mani/pedi in the summer with lots of time and NO close-toed shoes for at least a few days, this place might be worth your $ 30. Otherwise, head somewhere else and play it safe.

Lily’s has opened a location in downtown Lynn in addition to their East Boston location. This review is for their Lynn location. It is a small nail salon, but clean and nice with a flat-screen TV adjacent to their pedicure chairs(they house two.) When you walk in, you are greeted at the front desk by the manager, who is usually doing a manicure. She is friendly and urges you to pick a color. They only have two racks of OPI selection. They also offer Shellac manicure and a small amount of Essie polishes. I have visited twice so far. The first time, I had walked in after ruining my nails after doing an at-home acrylic application(It was fine — except I didn’t have the electric buffer to even out my nails and decided to clip them down and try to tear them off.) I asked if they could perform a manicure for me and get rid of the acrylic left on my nails. After a 5 – 10 minute wait, a kind male technician finished a pedicure on another client, sanitized his hands, and came to fix my gnarled nails. It was a gentle procedure. I didn’t have much on my nails anyway. He made small talk, asking if I lived in the area. After applying the pale pink color on my nails, he remarked that it was a beautiful color. I was pleased with his service, and my nails looked great. The second time I visited, I picked my color and waited another 5 – 10 minutes for a technician to finish a pedicure so they could work on my again gnarled nails, now ravaged by strong glue I had used for Japanese inspired nail art. :P She did a fine job as well, and took time to care for my cuticles. They massage your hands with lotion and do a hot towel treatment. The polish job was great. Did I mention a manicure is only $ 10? Pedicures are $ 20 — I have not yet gone for this service, but I heard a client raving that she felt like she had«new feet» and she absolutely loved the job they did. I have observed some of the technicians performing other services here while waiting. They do take their time on the pedicures, and are also good at acrylic and UV Gel manicure. I feel like this is going to become my weekly place. The designs on display are your standard Massachusetts nail design.(City Nails on Union is staffed by young nail techs who offer contemporary nail design such as Hello Kitty designs, Domo, cupcakes, and more. If this is your thing, check them out.) The first time I visited they only had 3 display boards, but now they have 6. I am not a big fan of the kind of nail design that is popular around here, but if you are then this is the place to go.

So I gave the salon a second chance even though I wasn’t too happy with my first experience. I mean, the price is really good! So I decided to go really early one morning so that I didn’t have to wait in line. The lady who seems to be the boss of the place did my nails and took her time with it. I also got a pedicure done. They did some treatment that cost a little more than the price they have for a mani and pedi. I was the only one in the salon when they opened and got both my hands and feet done at the same time! I have to say that there are specific people you should go to when getting your nails and feet done at this place. You also should go when there aren’t that many people. That way there isn’t any pressure for them to rush while getting your nails done. My second experience lead me to want to go again, so I will be going their soon. But I will definitely go early and hope that I get the same experience as last time. :)

I went on a whim after reading a great review of this place. Parking is a little hard to come by, but if you know the area, you won’t have an issue parking close by. KEEPYOUREYESOPEN! This place is tiny, and hidden away! I walked in and it was empty for a Saturday morning. I was able to walk in and get taken right away. I explained to the manicurist that it was my first time getting acrylic nails done and she really took her time so I could see what she was doing. She was very attentive, and my manicure is just NOW starting to show that I need a fill… I’m ten days in. Would definitely recommend to friends. Price is just right, too.

I’m not on day 8 of my 2nd manicure from Lily’s and I couldn’t be happier! It’s just starting to chip! They are a super clean little gem with fantastic manicurists. They really take their time and do a great job. I drive in to East Boston just to visit Lily’s!

I decide to treat myself for a manicure. I am in East Boston for a few hours. I don’t know the nail places well but a cute sign catches my eye and I think that place looks nice. I walk in on a Saturday afternoon and find a small nail salon empty. There is one woman who greets me, offers a manicure/pedicure, I tell her just a manicure so have a seat and she calls the technician Janet out. The manicure was very thorough. She spent time on me and I didn’t feel rushed. She even kept the conversation going the whole time which was nice. She clipped my cuticles meticulously and the polish application was awesome. I actually waited a week to review the place cause I wanted to see how it held up. It still looks great. The price of a manicure is only $ 10! and $ 15 for a french. Great deal! I got one of the best frenches ever. It does take skill when they form the white line with the brush in acetone, you know the person is skilled. I don’t like when places paint in on in one shot and call it a day. The other way looks and holds up better. The salon is brand new. Just opened last month. They also do waxing services and when I looked at that price list it was very low. There are about 3 nail stations and 2 pedicure baths and they are all clean and new. The place is small but its so worth it for a great deal manicure with friendly service
