C&R Glass Company

My wife closed a closet window a little over-​zealously and broke the pane. It was a smaller (14×18) wood-​frame single-​pane closet window that swung out on hinges. I called three places, got voicemail at the first two. C&R was the third one I called and William picked up the phone and was able to set a same-​day appointment for 1pm.
He came to my house and replaced the pane, doing the work on the back of his truck. It cost $ 120, which is what he quoted. Based on online estimators might be a steep, I can’t be 100% sure since I didn’t get other quotes first. If I had been less in a rush, I would have waited for others to call back with quotes and maybe tried to push down his price. With a hole in the side of my house, I’m ok with having paid a premium, because he picked up the phone and was able to do a same-​day at-​my-​house job.

I asked William to come out for a glass question\issue, he arrived on time and was very professional and polite. The issue was concerning if my glass was tempered or not. William answered honestly even thou it meant less business for him, saving us money. I plan on calling him back every time I have window or glass issues.

On time. Good quality work. Didn’t sweep broken glass afterwards, but I was ok with that — just would’ve been nice touch.

I called William on a Friday morning, received a FREE estimate that day and he and his brother came out the next day to complete the job!!! WOW, that was a fast turnaround! I’m also very thankful for his experience with metal frame windows! I would recommend him in to anyone looking for a reliable glass repairman :)

William was wonderful to work with, and very responsive. We had a failing double pane window, and rather than having to replace an entire window he was able to replace the one LOWE failing piece. He was on time, had reasonable rates, and will now be my go to for similar jobs. Have already called him to set up our next job.

If you have an older house and want someone who will keep its integrity without breaking your budget, this is the company to call. I have a century-​old house that has many of its original windows. I called on C&R to replace broken glass, including small diamonds, and re-​do the putty wherever needed. The price was more than fair and the work was excellent. They have a supply of re-​built old windows so you don’t have to make so with vinyl. You can also go into their shop to get replacement glass for all kinds of projects, cut to order for much less than elsewhere. I was very impressed and will be calling on them again for other tasks.

Yes I too dont write many reviews. In fact this is my second one, the first being a restaurant.
As usual I get a few bids for any house project. This project was about installing fixed and slider glass windows in a covered porch. I wanted to close out the elements esp. in winter so I can use it as an art studio off a bedroom.
I had three window contractors look at the project. C&R patiently worked with my tight budget. They came 3 times to carefully explain what they plan to do.
I felt the other two contractors were not providing a satisfactory solution. Plus they came in way above my budget.
C&R took 3 days to install the windows working very carefully. I can sense the pride they take in their work.
They never failed to answer any inquisitive questions I had while the work was in progress.
Saul, William’s partner is so pleasant to work with.
I have no qualms in calling them whenever I have any glazing project.

My son broke a huge window pane on the front of our house at 4:55pm on a Thursday. I called two businesses (whose ads said they could handle emergencies ²⁴⁄₇) to see if they could come fix it. One said they could have someone come on Saturday, the other said probably not ’til the following Monday. Obviously neither of those options was going to work — it was my front window pane! I called C&R Glass Company and they said the would come the following morning (still much better than the other two companies, but not quite good enough). I explained the situation and the owner William said he would see if he could juggle something and call me back. He called back two minutes later and said he would be at my home in 30 minutes. Sure enough, he and his partner Saul arrived on my doorstep at 5:30pm. They cut the glass in their truck and replaced the window, and while they were here I also had them replace a long-​ago-​broken small window pane. They replaced both windows and cleaned up in only an hour and the cost for both was under $ 220. The price seemed more than fair and I was so pleased that they were able to act with a sense of urgency. They were very nice and I would recommend them to anyone.
