Dr. Jeff Colligan, a Glen Carbon, Illinois native, received his Bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 1984. He is a 1988 graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. Colligan attended Indiana University School of Dentistry where he received specialty training in periodontology. As a part time faculty member, he also taught in the dental clinic at IUSD.
Having completed his periodontal training, Jeff returned to the area joining the faculty at SIU-SDM and the private practice of Dr. Neal Roller. Since 1991, Dr. Colligan has provided periodontal care for the Southern Illinois region from his location at 160 South Bellwood Drive, East Alton, Illinois. He and his dedicated staff focus on diagnosis, treatment and management of periodontal diseases (diseases affecting the gums, bone, and supporting tissues of the teeth). These services include —
–Biopsy of oral lesions
–Scaling/root planing (deep cleaning)
–Flap surgery for reduction of deep pockets
–Bone grafting
–Periodontal plastic surgery (soft tissue grafting)
