Description

Specialties

Eagle Island features a terrain park built by world class park operators, so don’t let the small size fool you. We pack our park with rail, jibs, jumps, and anything else that looks like it will push your progression.

The park also features snow tubing for those family members wanting the thrill of a purpose-built tubing lane.

History

Established in 2013.

Some of the best in the business, with a combined 75 years of experience, were pulled together to create an industry shift. The shift began in 2007, when Denver’s Ruby Hill Rail Yard became the world’s first city-supported terrain park of its kind. Our team extended that concept into Lansing, Michigan and offered lift-serviced winter sports recreation.

Gateway Parks’ team is unparalleled in its ability to deliver unique experiences that will bring snow sports back to its roots. We bring the decades of experience building parks and pipes, creating venues (Olympic, World Cup, Grand Prix), executing events, and operating resort properties to your community. With our history as our foundation, we are now looking into the future of winter recreation.

Meet the Business Owner

Ryan N.

Business Owner

Ryan Neptune, leads the team. Ryan, a former US Snowboard Champion, leverages his 30 years of ski industry knowledge and 20 years of entrepreneurship to develop the facilities that will lead the way to the future of snow sports. In 1990, he started Neptune Industries an innovative new-construction and landscaping company. Since then, Ryan Neptune has turned his business into a full-service manufacturing and fabrication platform, called Planet Built, that creates infrastructure and park features for resorts worldwide.

Beginning in 1993, Ryan created winter sports events, products and experiences in urban environments. Whether it was New York City’s Time Square, the Rose Garden in Portland Oregon, or The Hard Rock Café in Las Vegas, Ryan and his team not only selected the location, but put on the show.
