Expert Burger

I agree with Lady P the owner is very unfriendly and seems like he could care a less that you are a patron at his restaurant. When the place first opened other people worked the register and were much more welcoming. Now the burger when they first opened we thought this place was great. The quality of the burger has gone down so much and it is so small, almost McDonalds size burger. Bring the friendly staff back and the quality burger!

The guy is kind of a jerk. I know that everyone has a bad day, but of the 3 times I’ve been here he’s never been nice. Today he was rude while training a new employee. The burgers are good, so that is why Expert Burger gets 2 stars, but I would rather go to Wendy’s where people are nice.

Had the Angel Fire burger. Was great, onion rings were a hit too. Definitely recommend!

Excellent and quick service. Party of four, who each ordered different burgers, and all of them were incredible. Juicy, cooked just right. Truffle fries were so tasty! We loved the philosophy of serving good wholesome food at reasonable prices. Kids loved the locally created sodas.

Best truffle fries I’ve ever had. The salmon burger was delicious! Great little spot in a small town. Only thing I would change is the bun. Less bready would be ideal, but overall a delicious burger spot!

Thanks to the great descriptions on Unilocal,we stopped here on our way from Boulder to Moab (and then again on our way back home). The guys were making ground beef out of sirloin when we first arrived, so we could see that their claims that these are steak burgers, are true. And wow, you can really taste the difference! Besides delicious burgers, the onion rings are light, the fries are crisp, and they offer great drink choices! ENJOY!!!

I travel quite a bit and always try to find a great Cheddar/​Bacon/​BBQ burger. I found this place on Unilocal and thought «right, expert huh». Well, I went there for dinner and have to say that it was the best burger I have ever had. I had the regular fries and a black cherry soda which is all natural and made close by, no Coke or Pepsi products here. The whole ski theme is a plus, especially in this part of the country. The owner Chris was super nice guy to talk to and the place was spotless. This is a must stop location even if you are passing thru on I-​70. Don’t miss it!

Being raised the Eagle it is nice to see to finally a very good burger place to have lunch and dinner. Their locally sourced beef is quality ive literally dreamed of the juicyness. but could also use a little bit of seasoning to really let it stand out.
As a man of habit every time, I’ve chosen to get the truffel fries and am never disappointed. Just the right amount of truffle to cheese.
The service has always been friendly and quick to serve. Expert burger is clean friendly and highly recommended. The Angelfire is really good with extra spice and a second beef Patty with bacon.

Wife, 14 year old son and I enjoyed excellent burgers today. I had the Angel Fire with fried jalapeños which was not too hot. I also got the salt and vinegar fries which were good although a tad bit too salty. Definitely will come back next time we are in Eagle.

Absolutely a huge fan. The burgers are delicious and love all the different well thought out combinations they offer. You will totally be surprised what you think you like on your burger. I can’t wait to try them all. The fresh cut fries dressed in all the different ways are amazing. I loved the poutine. You could totally have a meal just from them. Every detail of this place has been well thought out and inviting. I can’t wait for one to open up closer to me and put these other burger joints to shame!

The bomb. These burgers are masterpieces. Pretty sure we will be back to try every single burger they have. After a coin flip, I went with the Sunnyside which was cooked to perfection; I had some serious yolk porn going. It was delicious. My husband had the Killington which he enjoyed. We had sea salt & vinegar fries and onion rings — both were a hit. Their sodas are great too! I think I have sucked down at least one metric ton of peaches and cream soda.
Bonus: pretty sure it’s a rule that you have to be a ruggedly handsome male to work here. Good work, fellas.

I realize it is a burger joint, but this is an amazing burger joint! The burger tastes so fresh and delicious! They carry some awesome soda from the Rocky Mountain soda company (peach cream soda? Yum!) and then there are the fries. Sea salt vinegar fries. Heaven. Can’t wait to have a burger with my friends here!

I had a hard time deciding between 3 and 4 stars for this restaurant. I hope that doesn’t dissuade anyone from trying it out. If the prices were a bit lower, it would have been a definite 4 star review.
While I appreciate the locally sourced ingredients, and for the most part they are delicious, I found the meat to be a bit greasy and flavorless. It’s more of a place holder than an addition to the burger. Maybe a little more seasoning would do the trick. Fortunately, the burger combinations are very creative and the ingredients used for the toppings are top-​quality and delicious.
I tried the beer battered onion rings and was not disappointed. They were great! The locally made sodas are also very tasty (I’d recommend the grape).
The service was very good; everyone was very friendly and the food arrived quickly even though they were busy. It’s a very comfortable place for a meal and very clean.
In short, definitely give Expert Burger a try; you won’t be disappointed. A few tweaks and this will be a 5 star place.

I like this place. The burgers are good and there’s a gourmet selection of toppings. Salmon and turkey burgers are also offered.
Everything is fresh. As one prior reviewer noted the menu is ala carte, so burger, fries and drink will be over $ 10 but you are getting quality food. The beef is 100% never ever Colorado beef, heritage angus, not inoculated with antibiotics, hormones or growth promotants. The potatoes are fresh, fries are not oily or greasy. Truffle fries were very good. They have a fantastic selection of Rocky Mountain sodas.
They were very busy the day we visited, and I was happy to see that. A great addition to the Eagle restaurant scene.

Awesome! Colorado sourced products come together to produce a wide variety of insanely good burgers, fries, sodas, etc! Living close by its hard not eating here every day!
