History

Established in 1995.

Bob and Louise Powell started up Active Accents in 1995 with just a small table top embroidery machine in their home in Eagle, ID. At first, Louise would embroider as a hobby; applying names to many soccer jerseys and gymnastics jackets through out the first couple years. Her passion for embroidery soon blossomed to purchasing a full single-​head embroidery machine and taking over the dining room in the family home. Eventually moving to the garage and then to her own commercial space in downtown Eagle, her business grew immensely! 20 years later Louise is passing ownership to her daughter, Kate, so they can keep the love of embroidery going while Louise takes a much deserved break.

Business Owner

Kate grew up in Eagle, ID with her parents and older sister, Emily. She attended local a private school and Boise State University. She is a proud mother of two marvelous little boys and lives in the heart of Boise, ID.

Chris grew up in East Boise with his parents and played competitive baseball all throughout school and college. He’s a devoted father and spouse to Kate and the boys, and one heck of a cook.
