Avalanche Frozen Yogurt

I love love LOVE frozen yogurt. My husband had never been to a build-​your-​own-​yogurt type shop until I took him here. He’s still in the «eyes are bigger than stomach» adjustment phase. I understand. During my first few experiences, I was definitely tempted to load up on toppings. This place is great. Wonderful selection of yogurt and toppings.

Great ice cream and toppings and store! Seriously bad service. At least when I have visited. I brought my daughter in after ice skating at 7:30 and was told the second I walked in the door «we close at 8.» Imagine a bratty bored stereo-​typical high school girl voice here. I checked my watch, saw it was only 7:30 and we got our ice cream. When we came to check out I asked a question about a topping or something and she answered me like I was the dumbest person alive. Also might I add the entire time I was creating my ice cream with my very excited little girl the young lady working was sitting at the register gossiping with her friend (possibly another employee? Who knows neither were working or idk pre-​closing!!) seriously we heard all the details about her and some mystery young man. (Hope you guys figured out your «official title» by the way!) Whole thing was just very inappropriate and she was very rude. Not the kind of employee I am sure the owner looks to hire.
Apart from the unfortunate employees it really is a great store, I just hope you have better luck than I did with service!

Avalanche frozen yogurt. Costumer service is good, yogurt is fair. Price could be lowered. But over all creepy and unusual vibe from the owner. He doesn’t seem to have a good attitude. Along with poor communication and social skills.

My boyfriend & I absolutely LOVE this place.
Its a tiny bit pricey. But everything else makes up for it.
Tons of flavors and toppings. The décor is bright and happy.
Love it.

Gross. Poor service and terrible yogurt. Go to cold stones or even mcdonalds. Ice cream watery. 1.99 an ounce for yuk…

Its frozen yogurt, whats not to love. Its normal price, your paying by the ounce, its up to you to control your portion! Topping are good. They have a lot of different flavors.

Terrible. Just terrible. Nothing here is really yogurt, it’s all overpriced ice with fake flavors. Ick. I could go down the street to a gas station and get a better slush for a dollar than what these crooks charged $ 12 for!

I go here 1 – 2 times a week because its near by AND delicious. They’re froyo stays frozen and doesnt come out melted (which i’ve seen A LOT at other froyo shops).
Fresh toppings… and they have all sorts of 10% discounts for military, etc.

Interesting serve yourself yogurt bar. Lots of different flavors of yogurt that can be mixed as desired. Top it of with a variety of toppings. If you like coffee I would suggest mixing the white chocolate with the coffee yogurt.
One negative (reason for only 4 stars) is the lack of signage on pricing. You pay by the weight, which is only posted on a small piece of paper near the cash register.
Overall a nice addition to Eagle River.
