Project K9 focuses on creating a healthy relationship between you and your dog (s). This involves solving behavioral problems, working on the walk, obedience, and helping your dog make better decisions. Our methods are based on a mutual respect and we focus on building a healthy relationship using trust, love, and communication.

One of the main aspects of training we focus on is socialization. This is a key point in setting your dog up to succeed. We strive for balance and harmony in our training, so we focus on the whole dog. This includes a healthy mental state of mind, eating and exercise habits, as well as a solid relationship with the owners.

We work on the psychological side, so remember obedience commands are tricks, not training. We can help you have a great family dog FIRST, and then add in all the obedience commands later!

Project K9 was originally known as Pawsitive Dog Training. We opened in 2012.

Meet the Business Owner

Heather H.

Business Owner

Heather Hamilton has 5 years’ experience working with dogs. Over the years, she has experience working with small and large breed dogs, shelter and rescue animals, and training dogs. She has experience working with puppies and teaching correct mannerisms, as well as working with over-​assertive, dominant animals. Most of all, she sees results. As a continuing student, she will never stop learning, and loves to continue her education in the dog world. Every dog is different, and learning which approaches work for which dogs, is something Pawsitive Dog Training specializes in. Heather is a certified Associate member of the IACP.
