Turbo Kick Boxing: Turbo Kick is a cardio kickboxing class set to great music. You will burn 600 plus calories as you punch, kick and shake away those pounds.

Pilates Yoga (PiYo) is a hybrid class combining core work from pilates, balance work from yoga and strength building with weights and bands. We will also do some booty ballet work to lean and lengthen those muscles.

Insanity: Lets get back to basics with some high intensity interval training. Jacks, log jumps, mountain climbers, rope drills and ladder drills (with weights and abs) make this class a fun, intense burn… no dancing or coordination required.

Personal Training: I am a personal trainer currently at Thrive Community Fitness in Duvall. Need one on one attention, I can help you reach your goals!

History

Established in 2008.

In 2007 I was training for a triathlon and injured my leg. I couldn’t exercise for almost a year. I gained lots of weight and lost my motivation. My cholesterol was out of range and realized I needed to do something. On vacation, I tried a Turbo Jam video. I could do Turbo Kick! I lost 30 lbs. That inspired me to get certified to teach the club version of Turbo Kickboxing and Pilates Yoga. I started Turbo Kick/​PiYo Duvall in 2008. In 2010 I earned my certification in Personal Training through NASM and joined the Thrive Community Fitness team. My past training injury taught me how important it is to listen to your body. Every person is different and every person’s goals are different. My job is to listen to each individual and plan a program that fits their needs. People are stronger than they think and can DO MORE than they think. With focus and a plan anyone can do it.

Hi. My name is Valerie Stewart. I am a Personal Trainer, Group X instructor and Ballet teacher in Duvall WA. My personal and professional goals are to inspire, motivate, encourage, help, teach and train the community allowing them to reach their personal fitness and wellness goals through exercise and dance. I have been dancing and involved in fitness all my life. My first aerobics class was in High School, Jazzercise! I loved it and knew it was a forever passion. Since moving to Duvall in 2000 I have been a mom on the go. Raising my two kids is my favorite thing, but once the kids enrolled into school full time I realized it was my time to help others. I started teaching ballet to children at Duvall Performing Arts in 2007 and went to New York to train with American Ballet Theatre in the Teacher Program. in Pre-​ballet to Level 3 in 2009. I started teaching aerobics to my ballet «parents» in 2008 and expanded in 2009 to theTaekwon Do Studio in Duvall.
