Recently moved out to Duvall and wanted to find a local place to do my hair. I searched on Unilocal and the selection looked pretty thin. Happily, while walking down Main street I noticed a hair salon called«Bees Hive» across the street from the library. I popped in and made an appointment right away. My hair was in rough shape: too long, dyed too dark and just looking awful. Cheryl spent over 2 hours working on my hair to try to make it from dark brown to light brown. Meticulously she put foil after foil in. I had wanted to get my hair cut but I had a medical appointment and needed to reschedule the haircut to a few days later. I came back this afternoon and had my hair cut. Cheryl didn’t think my color looked right so she re-foiled my hair again to make it less brassy. Again, she spent several hours working on this. When it came time to pay she only charged for the hair cut, even though she had spent all that time re-foiling. All in all I got an amazing deal for my cut and color, SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than any salon in Redmond or Bellevue would have charged for what was essentially a complete color correction. I am very impressed with Cheryl and her OCD like dedication to getting my hair just right. My hair looks amazing, cut and colored just like discussed! I made sure to tip well for all the extra time Cheryl spent on my hair(at her prices, you can get the service you want and still tip well and still feel like you are getting an amazing deal!). I look forward to returning to Cheryl and the Bees Hive in the future for my hair needs. The shop itself is small and not super fancy, but I like it’s easy style and relaxed feel. It’s not a hipster place, no loud techno music booming(a plus for me). The salon also sells hair products and small gift shop items like candles, I believe. If you want someplace of quality to do your hair and want a fair price, this place is it! Also, I wanted to mention that it was not Cheryl’s fault my color came out a little brassy the first time. I had dyed and redyed the crap out of it and my hair holds red way to easily. Anyone who would have dyed my hair would have encountered the same issue. Cheryl seems more than competent. I just wanted to clarify in-case anyone would read I needed the color redone and think it was the stylist’s fault.
