Great event space and I love that most of the seats have backs to them verses just stadium seating. My only gripe is that the food is soooo expensive. All comps are pricey, but a small bag of popcorn was almost $ 6. Really? That’s crazy!

Great sight lines, easy access, a large sheet of ice. Not sure what more you could want in a college hockey arena.

OK… I like the hockey games and the view. For college hockey its pretty nice with good views no matter where you sit really. But… you better eat before you go or they will empty your pockets for a hot dog or sausage… its out of control there in my opinion. 8 bucks for a sausage on bun? And you better have cash… cuz they dont take credit cards… but you can use the atm out front for a fee? Really? The tix are already not cheap considering… the parking is really not good either… and the wandering herds after leaving a game or basically not as smart as you would think since they walk anywhere a car wants to drive. Dont bother using the crosswalk! So… its ok… parking sucks really, and you dont want to eat there since you can hit an ok restaurant for the same price. BUTGOUNH!

One of the nicest stadiums in Division 1 eastern college hockey. The Whit is the home of the UNH Wildcats. Great lower bowl style stadium; which makes Harvard, Northeastern and Providence’s old bowl’s look like a grimy dump. BU’s Aganis Arena or Lowell’s Tsongas still hold the upper hand and set the mark for college hockey; however the Whit is still a great place to see a game and typically favors the home team. The Whit features the widest ice surface in Hockey East.

If you are coming only for the hockey, you will like Whittemore, as the sight-lines are good and concourses empty, but it is violently unimpressive and has no real distinctive features. The scoreboard is shit, tickets expensive and parking lot inconvenient. I would return, but I’m not looking forward to dealing with this arena again

Lake Whitt is pretty nice. In a huge, generic kind of way. Still, good sight lines, lighting, concessions, and the open concourse make it a solid college hockey rink.
