I’ve only been attending here for about a month, but I love it. The whole crew is knowledgeable, supportive, and happy to help noobs figure out what they’re doing.

I am a long standing member of the BJJ community in the area. I am a coach at another school who is not part of the same affiliation as TJJ. However, Seth(the head instructor) welcomed myself and my teammates with open arms when I expressed interest in coming out and taking a class. Seth is very analytical and explains well, in addition to being a total monster on the mat. The students there are nice, and good training partners. Come check a class out. You won’t regret it.

Triangle Jiu-Jitsu is a fantastic place to train, no matter what your experience level is. I started training with Seth Shamp in Feb. 2011. Though I wrestled in high school and dabbled in karate, neither of those prepared me for how much I’d enjoy practicing jiu-jitsu. Seth has a genuine passion for the art and a gift for teaching, which makes him extremely effective as an instructor. Besides being detail-oriented with instruction, Seth is also good at tailoring his teaching to your skill and experience level. This helps new students like me see how fascinating the big picture of jiu-jitsu is, while at the same time refining advanced techniques among the more experienced students. Jiu-jitsu is very addictive because it presents both interesting mental and strenuous physical challenges. That makes it a terrific workout as well as a fun art to practice. Seth has created a school that makes training a pleasure. No matter if you’ve never grappled before or if you’ve developed skills over some years in the art of jiu-jitsu, you can learn a lot from Seth — and have a great time doing it.
