Cleanest place! I love all the flavors and they change constantly. The guy who works there is always cleaning and wiping up the tables — you know how sticky things can get very quickly if they are not cleaned up. All the flavors and toppings are labeled so if you have a food allergy, it is a good place to go. I bought the Unilocal Deal $ 6 for $ 10. and got some extra for the freezer. It was really easy to do the transaction.

Mmmmm, Menchie’s! When the fro-yo surge kicked in back in the day(college days for me) I remember it was the place to be: girl dates, boy dates, satisfying that sweet-tooth crazing {even when you’re in training season!} Menchie’s is no Pinkberry [long live PINKBERRY!] but is it DEFINITELY the best of what we have in the triangle. What I like about the locations: –they’re reliable: good hours and good service(usually the owner or friendly high school aged employee is on staff) –great coupon offerings(you get them in the mail, they have a rewards program and have coupons in the Go, Play, Save books). So you can combat the higher price with some super savers! –tons of variety in flavors. Although I’m usually a strictly TART lover, they do have some unique flavors. Fro yo slightly messes with my mind, some flavors are so similar to the item they’re mimicking in taste, that my brain can’t handle it. For example: Pineapple upside down cake, literally tasted like the cake, but fro-yo texture, that’s just not right people! So, call me what you might, but I want my fro-yo to be tart and yogurtie! They also have the most INTERESTING combination twists. –LOTS of toppings. Again, personally I’m a fresh fruit fan, but if you want to go crazy, they’ve got you covered. As long as they’ve got two types of fresh fruit, I’m happy. –healthy life-style friendly. When those birthday’s keep coming round, eventually you’ve got to take care of yourself. This is a tasty, low-calorie option(depending on what flavor you choose and toppings of course). But if you’re going to treat yourself, truly treat yourself here!

The décor is standard and similar to Sweet Frog and Tutti Frutti. Plenty of variety and gluten free options, with both yogurt and toppings. I also appreciated the low seating for my niece, since sometimes there are only bar stools. I tried the mint(tasted like a mellow mint ice cream), the GF cake batter(this I settled on), ad the Reese’s peanut butter(had a watered down taste to it).

Nothing too special about this self-serve frozen yogurt place… that being said, it’s pretty difficult to stand out as a frozen yogurt store since it’s such a saturated industry. On the day that my friends and I went, the flavors were very normal, which is weird because looking at the Menchie’s website, there seem to be a lot of really unique flavors. Maybe we just came on a bad day. I really enjoyed the honeydew sorbet though, which was my favorite flavor during my visit. There are quite a lot of toppings, from dry toppings to fresh fruit to baked goods to syrups, so you’re sure to find whatever toppings you want. The workers here also let you try as many flavors as you would like by setting out sample cups for customers to take. the store itself is very colorful, from the walls, seating, and equipment to even the spoons. It brings a bright and happy vibe but can also come off as a little childish. Menchie’s is a very sold frozen yogurt store, no doubt, but I just really can’t pinpoint anything that really differentiates this location from its competitors.

Pretty gosh darn average to below average for a fro yo place. They had a lot of yogurt flavors-all super sweet. Toppings were all candy(granted a lot of different candys) but not enough fruit… actually only had 2 fruit toppings. Sauce toppings were all processed. Didn’t give me that wholesome natural feeling I look for when I eat fro yo! Service was fine, facility was clean. But unfortunately will likely not be back!

Definitely prefer this place over Sweet Frog and Tutti Frutti. The toppings that they offer are far more superior. Even the yogurt tastes better in my opinion!

This is the best yogurt place I’ve ever been to, taking into account I live in California and have ways had Yogurt Land, Nubi’s…The yogurt is absolutely fresh. They have 16 flavors everyday! Yes, I said 16, which is very rare in my opinion. Most of the flavors are perfectly sour the way yogurt is supposed to be, not sweet like ice cream like many other yogurt places I’ve been to. My favorite mix is plain tart and pineapple. Omg the best pineapple yogurt ever. The chocolate waffle is off the top. And their chocolate fudge is delicious. The shop is located at a very nice corner where parking is spacious. It is exceptionally clean and lightful. They have a trash can and a recycling can for the spoons, which I think pretty cool because the kids can practice environment awareness. My kids love this place so much. Well I’m running out of breath, but you get the idea…

This place reminds me of the Yogurtland I used to go to near Cameron Village. The flavors are fantastic and the staff allows you to sample freely until you discover your favorite flavor(s). This is definitely one of my new favorites. The key lime tart and Reese’s peanut butter flavors are two of my new yumtastic yum yums. I highly recommend Menchie’s for frozen yogurt goodness. It’s not as fantastic as Yogurtland was but I’ll take it!

Best froyo in the area. You can try the flavors before you buy ;) My go to is the cake batter. It’s amazing. Top that off with reeces pieces and sprinkles and you got heaven in your mouth. Make sure you buy the 5 for 10 deal on Unilocal.Bring a date for two large helping of fro yo for $ 5 bucks!

After trying our several frozen yogurt places in Durham and Chapel Hill, I have finally found that Menchie’s is by far the best tasting. There are lots of toppings available, and they are always fresh, not stale. The toppings station is also clean and not messy with crumbs all of the place. The yogurt itself is great — thick and creamy, not watered down. I really like the Mudpie and Chocolate Dunked Banana flavors they currently had this week. There is even a separate room with glass windows for what I assume are large groups of kids or families to eat together. I’ll definitely continue going to Menchie’s and recommend it highly.

Nom noms! Great selection of flavors, a variety of toppings, and friendly employees! The guy that was working didn’t mind that I sampled most of them, teehee! I do have a suggestion though — add lychee to your toppings :)

Great froyo place, interesting and tasty flavors. They also have a very large selection of toppings relative to other froyo places I’ve been to, which sets it apart from the rest.

Delicious toppings selections Even though it was a rather cold day, frozen yogurt was on the menu. Just about all fro-yo places look the same, the only differentiation is the yogurt flavors and toppings offered. They had cake batter frozen yogurt so I went with that and decided on chocolatey toppings. There were chocolate chips, kit kat bar pieces(my favorite candy bar), cookie dough, and brownie bites; all of which found their way in my cup. I almost went a fruitier route since they had pop tart pieces and animal crackers, but stuck with my chocolate flavors. The yogurt I enjoyed and each topping I liked. The brownie bites were really rich but i don’t mind that at all. I was definitely pleased with my dessert.

Best FroYo in Durham. THERE. I said it. I love their flavors, which always include something unique. They have sugar-free flavors that taste really good and allow me to then add much more sugar in toppings and not feel as bad. The yogurt is creamy and has a superior mouthfeel to a lot of other area froyos. You can always find a coupon in your mail or on Groupon for them, so that’s definitely a plus.

There are a half dozen of these kinds of yogurt places within a square mile of the Southpoint Mall. It’s ridiculous. I’ve had other favorites, but this now has topped them all(so far). The strength of Menchie’s is their selection of toppings. Cool Whip! Strawberry fizzy rock candy bite things! Chocolate chips of several varieties! The yogurt is smooth and not icy. The flavors are accurate to the description. I really liked chocolate malt, which is a flavor I’ve not seen elsewhere. I am a 31 year old man, but I also think the characters on the spoons are cool. I’m sure kids will love them.

I really like the concept, a make your own frozen yogurt bar! They have about 16 different flavors to choose from and even more toppings. You can sample as many flavors as you like with the tiny paper sampling cups. Then when you know what you want grab a cup, put in as much(or little) as you want, add any toppings and then pay for however much it weighs. I only wanted a little bit and it was just over $ 2.00. I had the vanilla snow with a splash of raspberry topping and hot fudge. Wow, was it ever good!
