Kontek Systems is a unique audio/​video systems integrator based in North Carolina’s Research Triangle area. Kontek’s clients include the region’s most prestigious research universities, medical centers, corporations, museums, and performing arts centers.

Kontek specializes in audio/​video system design and integration. Most Kontek projects are structured in a design/​build mode, which allows us to guarantee the performance of every system and provides the owner with a single point of responsibility. Because we represent over 100 major manufacturers of equipment including such prestigious lines as Crestron, Extron, NEC, Cisco and Polycom, we have tools to solve almost any design challenge.

History

Established in 1988.

Kontek was started by Frank Konhaus to fill a growing need in Durham, NC for expertly-​installed high quality audio/​video equipment. The company grew quickly, now employs two dozen people, and tackles world-​class projects for major institutions.
