I’m a professional videographer and all my raw clips were on an ext. HD that had crashed. Omair was able to remove the disk and upload ALL my MXF files to another drive without losing a single Mb. They saved my a ton of aggravation not to mention they had a very affordable price. I highly recommend these guys !!

My first time here; it was recommended by a friend.

I dropped off a Macbook Air today. Mr Omair greeted me and was friendly and seemed knowledgeable about what was going on.
My problem: I knew there was slight liquid damage on the solid state drive (i opened it up and looked) so I dropped it off to see if the liquid damage messed anything else up (aka the hard drive interface on the logic board), or if a new drive would fix the Mac back to working condition. I knew everything else was in working condition because I was able to use a USB flash drive to boot the computer. They said they’ll contact me on Monday about the prognosis. As a student in debt, prices matter to me. The diagnostics is costing $ 30 which is a very fair price (other places I’ve seen range from $ 35 – 50). They’re also open till 6:30 which is great for those coming after work.
So far, so good. Will update once the process is complete.
UPDATE:
They called me on Monday as promised. But, from the diagnostic testing, all I found out was that it needed «Cleaning» — which is some sort of error message that’s given by Apple’s Service Diagnostic tests. I’m kind of disappointed as my only concern was whether or not a new SSD would bring the computer back to working condition. I was told that more diagnostic tests could be run after cleaning the computer (I think that involves using some chemical solution). Unfortunately, cleaning it was $ 100. So the only answer I got out of it was that it needs cleaning — nothing about whether a new hard drive would work or not.
Here’s my problem with this. 1) I told them all I needed to know was whether a new HD would fix the problem or if there was a problem with the hard drive interface, and I was told a diagnostic test would tell us what’s wrong. But that wasn’t the case. 2) My options were to having a working mac that just needs a new SSD, or sell a broken mac. It would have cost me $ 130 for the diagnostics + cleaning + more diagnostic — just to find out if it would work. If it then did work, I would have to buy a new SSD for $ 100-​$ 200 depending on the size. It would be much cheaper for me to buy a new SSD for $ 100 and just plug it in to see if it works myself. If it didn’t, I could return it, and then sell my mac. if it did work, I would have only spent $ 100.
TL;DR
I knew my macbook air had a problem with just the SSD or possibly also the interface of the SSD on the logic board. I needed to know if a new SSD would fix it. The diagnostics said it needed a cleaning (costing $ 100), and then more diagnostics could be run after which would tell us if a new SSD would work.
Pros: Very friendly staff, cheap diagnostic costs. Knowledgeable.
Cons: I had one question for which the diagnostics gave me no answer. My money would be better spent self testing a new SSD than cleaning it for $ 100 and then buying a new SSD to test it.

I brought Mr. Omair my Mac because I had spilled liquid on it and needed the top case replaced and other portions cleaned. When I first arrived, he was kind, reasonable and had a quick turnaround time. As I got my laptop back, I noticed that some parts were loose and other parts stopped working so I needed to take it back in. Needless to say I went back and forth several times to get these issues resolved, and though I didn’t pay anything additional, it was time consuming and frustrating to take it in multiple times due to the initial problem. In the end, Apple still found liquid and when I brought it back to Mr. Omair, he said it must be from another spill. He is not a rude man, but as the customer, I didn’t appreciate being accused of something I know didn’t happen.
I initially went to CSC because of the cheaper prices, but next time I’ll pay more for better repair and customer service.

I been doing business with Mr. Omair and have no complaint at all. I am MacBook Pro had to get data recovery and new hard drive apple store gave me over 1000 estimate and 2 week time. I got all that work done in half a price and in two days. Thanks lot Mr. Omar for help

You pay for what you get. Computer Services has the cheap prices and the cheap services to go with it. I took my computer in to get the laptop keyboard replaced because a key was broken. Told me that they’d call in 3 days if it exceeded expected costs or had problems. After not hearing from them five days later, I called and it turns out they couldn’t find the replacement keyboard they needed for my model (which is fine).
What isn’t fine is that another key wasn’t just broken, but completely rendered useless in their investigation. The man said a chair ran over the key! Also the casing that surrounds all the keys was loose, and when it fell out, I was shocked to see cracks and dents on the keyboard case. If you’re going to mess with the keyboard at least keep it close to the condition it came in as.
Still had to pay full price 30 bucks despite this. You pay for what you get.

I stopped in here one time in search of a simple cable and they had absolutely no idea what I was talking about. After spending 10 years working in the IT industry I know my terminology so this wasn’t a case of me asking for the wrong item it was simply the case of the person behind the counter not being experienced.
If your looking for general computer service I am sure they are fine but if your in need of assistance beyond what a «computers for dummies» book can provide you might want to go elsewhere.
