Clegg’s offers both residential and commercial pest control with locations to serve you across North Carolina. We keep your home or office safe by treating for a long list of pests.
We have been using Clagg’s for years in my Cary home and I love it. They do a great job, they are friendly. I am not sure if I have always had a much more positive interaction than any of the other reviewers. They often come within 24 hours. I live on a lake and I have a pervasive issue with ants and they always seem to fix the situation for a reasonable amount of time. I will return!

Stay away from this company! This company does not show up, is rude, and despite what their website says about valuing customer service – they do not. I called several months ago and had someone come out. He was two and a half hours late. Then didn’t want to do anything. Gave a quick scan and said, «No, you don’t have termites.» Asked if he could spray for spiders. No, he didn’t care to. Called and explained what had happened previously and was told they were sorry and would send their best guy. Scott came to my house. He was great, inspected house. Told me the other guy was wrong and I likely have termites and definitely carpenter ants. He went over the options and then came back later that afternoon with the contract and we set up an appointment. I had to change that appointment and called a week ahead to do so. Then the actual appointment day came. At 8:00 am, I called Scott to verify they would be there at 9:30. He assured me they would. They did not show up. At 10:15, I left a message on Scott’s phone. I never heard back from him. Even to this day– now a week later. At 10:30, I called the Clegg’s office and spoke with Hazel, who said she didn’t know where the guy was who was to be at my house. She’d find out and call me right back. She did not call back. At 11:15, I called and spoke with Hazel again. She said the employee who was to be at my house would not answer his phone. She put Gabe, the manager on. Gabe was extremely rude. Very condescending and said it was not his fault he couldn’t locate his employee. I explained that I had an appointment and Gabe told me he would call when he was able to locate his employee and let me know when the employee might show up at my house. I left the house. The employee then showed up at my house– and no, Gabe did not call to let me know. I suspect the employee just showed up 3 hours late and hadn’t even checked in with the office. My roommate told me he appeared as if he’d just come off a three day drunk and crawled out of bed. She told him I’d left and sent him away. I spoke with Rob, the regional manager in Durham. He was very nice and promised to get to the bottom of this. He called me back and said he’d spoken with Gabe. And that Gabe explained there was some mix-up with appointments. Rob apologized for the 3 hours I waited. And for the rudeness of Gabe. He also told me he would speak with Gabe and that some discount would be given to me for my 3 hours of time. And the lack of customer service in the condescending way Gabe handled the matter. Since, after all, their website promises that customer service is a priority. Rob told me he would call me in two days about the discount to compensate for the fiasco and to reschedule the appointment. This was a week ago. I’m still waiting to hear from Rob. I’ll update this review if I do. In the meantime, I would STAYFARAWAYFROMTHISCOMPANY. Update: After reading my review(I emailed it to them), the headquarters company emailed me that they would contact the Asheville company and ask them to give me $ 100 discount. I did not hear from Asheville about this. And to be fair, I did not pursue it. It was a nice offer, if they really had followed through, but I decided I did not want to deal with this company each year(as I had planned to do the yearly termite inspection and treatment plan). Meanwhile, I contacted another Asheville pest control company, Dodson’s. They came to my house and inspected. I was told by the very nice and PROMPT Dodson’s employee that whoever told me I needed to pay $ 800 to rid my house of termites was incorrect. My house does not have termites. He sprayed for carpenter ants and spiders for $ 100. And even offered to come back for free in one week to knock the spider webs off the house. So, I suggest you call Dodson’s. They have been fantastic.

We have been long time customers of Clegg’s going on 8 years now. I remembered when gas prices started to go up and they added a «fuel surcharge» to my bill which I felt was inappropriate. Lately, they refuse to come to spray my house past 5pm requiring one of us to leave work early so they can get the inside. They also don’t so Saturday appointments. As far as customer service goes I feel they do a poor job. Once when they said they would check for termites for free, the guy never showed up and when I called to complain they told me he had already been to my house and filed a report. I never got to see this so called report. I cancelled my service today and got a cheerful«ok». Not any word of trying to keep me as a customer. Buyer beware.
