«Arguably best mall food court value» The Northgate Mall food court has a lot of restaurants but not-so-many really good and inexpensive options. Cajun Café is the exception. Immediately upon walking by, you’ll be offered a piece of chicken on toothpick to try. Yes, it’s a little greasy, but MAN it tastes good. Looking suspiciously like a Panda Express(especially how you pick lo mein or fried rice, and have the option of an eggroll), this place has Bourbon Street chicken(regular or spicy w/jalapenos), blackened chicken, Cajun chicken, chicken & shrimp, steamed veggies, etc. Pick your lo mein vs. rice and one entrée, and your meal costs a mere $ 4.89(currently $ 5.22 with tax). What I like is that’s actually a lot of food(helpings are generous), and you can also have free cup of tap water. For another dollar, you can have two entrees, and you can add an egg roll if you’d like. Prices are basically the same as Master Wok in the same food court(which I also like). If you’re at the mall and willing to have food that’s a bit greasy but very tasty, very cheap, and large in quantity, this is the place to go.
