History

Established in 2007.

A+S Design was founded with the Durham Performing Arts Center as the project that launched the firm. Since, the firm has collaborated with architects across North Carolina to create engaging spaces. Just last year, A+S Design began working on international work in China to create a coroporate interior reflective of the clients brand and company culture. Residential focus recently has been Dallas, New York & local in North Carolina.

Alison S.

Business Owner

With more than 13 years of design experience, Alison Steele has worked on a variety of projects, both large and small. As a Principal and Designer, she oversees the aesthetic and strategic direction on projects as well as manages the firm’s business, contracts, vendor negotiations, and budget development. In close partnership with clients and consultants, Alison is known for her energy, resourcefulness, and methodical attention to detail. Prior to founding A + S Design Inc. in 2007, Alison worked as a Project Manager and Designer at Alliance Architecture, as well as a Senior Interior Designer at Philip Szostak Associates and at Bell Cline Associates in Chapel Hill.
