History
Established in 1910.
1910 – 1948 Jewish Educational Alliance is operated on the site that now houses Atlanta Fulton County Stadium. In 1946 the Atlanta Jewish Community Center (AJCC) was incorporated.
1956 AJCC Midtown branch completed and opened in October.
1979 Zaban Park branch built to serve northern suburban community.
1986 Shirley Blumenthal Park & Max L. Kuniansky Building site purchased to serve Cobb and North Fulton County.
1989 Shirley Blumenthal Park & Max L. Kuniansky Family Building completed and opened in September.
1997 Satellite preschool was opened at Shearith Israel synagogue in the Midtown Atlanta area.
1998 Camp Isidore Alterman construction completed in the far side of the lake in Zaban Park.
1998 Sale and closing of the Midtown branch.
2000 Atlanta Jewish Community Center Zaban-Blank Building expansion and renovation is completed and opened in April. The Center is re-named The Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta.
