History

Established in 2010.

I have always wanted to be an independent businesswoman who made a difference in people’s lives. Today I am able to do so by providing my clients with an intimate and professional experience in my own boutique.

After receiving my Cosmetology & Esthiology license from the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis, I was recruited by Van Michael Salons to be a master colorist. I studied with Bumble & Bumble Salons in New York to master my cutting technique.

I am originally from the Midwest. I was born and raised in Des Moines, IA. Both of my parents had a passion for art and that was certainly passed down to me at a young age. I was raised with a strong work ethic and a good moral background which has come in handy being in business for myself. When I was a little girl I loved playing with makeup and hair. While attending Iowa State University to receive my BA in Art & Design, I worked the front desk of a popular salon. I knew that I had to follow my dreams and go for it. So, I packed up everything that I owned and headed to the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis, MN. While at the Aveda Institute, I was recruited by Van Michael Salons to be a Master Colourist for them here in Atlanta. As soon as I completed my program with Aveda in Minneapolis, I moved to Atlanta to work for Van Michael. I spent my first year mastering my color technique through their advanced training program and the next five years as one of Van Michaels top Colorists.
