Many people ask me Who is Don Tomaso In Italian Don is the respectful term for Head of Household My father’s name is Thomas which in Italian is Tomaso In short Don Tomaso is my father Don Tomaso had been in business well before I was born in 1957 I began working for him at the age of eight When I was sixteen years old Don Tomaso decided to open a pizza shop in Dunmore where I started as an apprentice and soon began to develop my own recipe In 1989 I began working with other pizza makers in various shops learning different pizza styles Over the years I found that using the highest quality products and freshest ingredients produces the tastiest pizza after my mother died in 1997 my father felt it was time to open a brand new family pizza shop Having the finest tasting pizza around I believe it would be proper to name after the finest man I know Don Tomaso now back in our home town and will continue keeping it alive with our family our traditions and the unmatched quality of our food.
