Just left this place. Our party of 5 spent the entire time fending off a herd of flies, none of which would go anywhere near the prime rib which should really tell you something. We told the waitress immediately that the prime rib was NOT good yet we were not offered any option for different meals. I’ve never seen prime rib like this– it was solid dark brown in color from whatever very salty chemical tenderizer/seasoning stuff they soak it in– it arrived extremely overcooked– we left the entire thing on the plate & they not only refused to take it off our bill but wouldn’t so much as comp us a soda. They also refused to tell us the cook’s name. They made us pay $ 26 for plates of food we left there. HORRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICE!!! And now that I think about it, they never served us our salads which we paid for too.

As with any mom and pop places — you cannot rely on business as usual and for me — that’s a good thing. The menu here as a large variety and what’s better then the variety is the price — unbelievably low prices — makes me wonder how they do it! Cleanliness is ok though it’s hard to tell because it can be a bit dark inside. There is seating outside during nice weather. Don’t care much for the restroom facilities, but I didn’t go there to use the bathroom! The service was really good — timing on point and overall — you just can’t beat the value here! A few tips: First — on Sunday everything that’s been on special all week is on special this day. Again — I wonder about this — does that mean Monday’s special is still around? Second tip: bring cash — as they do not accept credit cards! Overall — for what it is — I give it 4 solid stars. BTW — the only pest I have ever seen in this place is a stray fly on occasion!

I went with two friends Saturday. I’ve been before and they were there for their first time. They were so impressed by the selection on the menu. When our food came, it looked and tasted great! We ordered fried cauliflower, french onion soup, a tuna melt, a chicken finger sub(which was HUGE), and the chicken finger platter. They also have tons of daily specials which are a great deal! All my friends could talk about was going back again as soon after we left! It’s a «must go» place!

The fish fry here is great! Fluffy, large, and zesty with lemon, it’s worth going out for. The whole place is a bit dark and none too fancy, but the fish is good and that’s what matters most!
