I really like this place. The appeal of the big box home improvement stores has really worn off of me. Here, you can park in front of the door. You can find a knowledgeable person to help you without scouring the whole store. There is a great assortment of stuff that makes this a one stop shop for a lot of things.
ACE is still the place with the helpful hardware folks!

This place is terrible. Bought several trees and they all died within A month. Only the ones I bought here. The lowes down the street was just fine, those trees are doing well. Whoever runs their garden area should be fired, it’s mess. Everything is higher priced than lowes.

After being a customer at this location for the last 9 years, I WILL NEVER WALK THROUGH THESE DOORS AGAIN. This location discriminates against bikers and I am spreading the word! The checkout woman stopped me at the door and wanted me to leave my bag with her as I shopped. Though there were other women in the store, no one else was asked to leave their personal belongings. Did you ever think you create a liability issue should someone’s bag get stolen while in your cashier’s possession? Other places follow would-​be suspects around the store. But you accuse me of being a thief just because I have a backpack? How many thieves have had a motorcycle helmet in one hand and a grocery list in the other? From now on, I will drive twice as far to your competition because of your stupid store policy and your cashier’s lack of good judgement. As I spread the word, I’m finding others have been treated the same and won’t go back. I hope your loss management department is counting the numbers of customers you’re losing. YOU CAN’T TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS LIKE THIS AND EXPECT THEM TO COME BACK!!!

I wanted to get some Christmas postage stamps and didn’t feel like dealing with the crowds at the Main Post Office on Belcher Rd. I walked right in, found the USPS dept. and was greeted by a cheerful USPS associate who had just what I was looking for. From what I could see, they have everything you would need to mail anything.
I’ve always know about this USPS satellite location but it was never on my ‘radar’ when I needed to mail a package. Now, I can’t image dealing with the big USPS location on Belcher Rd. ever again.

As a native New Yorker, some of the creatures we have seen on our property, have been many if not intriguing: Heron gulls with their curved 6 inch long beaks forage for worms and insects are quite effective in what they do, but rats in the area, present very different type treat. Moreover, not only do they leave droppings, but will chew up carpet, upholstery, chairs and all types of bedding and furniture. They will claw through food stuffs and ruin unprotected items.
We’ve never had a rodent problem until last December of 2013, when infestation began. At home, my wife, grandchildren and daughter said, «NO» they’ve got to go! Often I chime right in and respond to requests to give a hand with many household chores, but getting rid of rats was strictly, «my» baby. Who can stand against the call to arms and be ready to defend, family?
I have since picked up some education on killing rats, but I needed to go further for there is a nest somewhere on the premises, and salesman Tony Carbone of Ace Hardware, heard our cry and gave us some advice. Moreover, he is knowledgeable and explained some rudiments of getting rid of rat pests. He took his time to inculcate us. and further price matched everything he sold to us. Using steel wool to choke these creatures was novel and our dwelling spaces seemed at this time to be in the clear.
Use triple 000 steel wool and peanut butter glue trays strategically placed with spring traps. His instruction was direct as he answered our questions. The Ace Store Manager is James De Carlos and we nevertheless are pleased with this new protection. This is not the first review I have done for this store.
When the weather is favorable, wood working begin again.

Dave and the rest of the crew in the hardware/​window and screen repair department are super! I took my sliding glass door screen in for repair. The corners and sliders were beyond repair but they kindly referred me to another place that was able to replace the corners. Ace truly is the helpful place!

I would like to go here more often to support local business (and its closer to my house) but it’s a little pricey on house items compared to other home improvement places or home goods type stores.
The people are always very friendly though.

This is a great hardware store. The kind of place that makes you regret that the big box home improvement stores have caused so many of these places to close. They have every item you would want in a hardware store. The store is nice inside and easy to navigate. The staff is very helpful with anything you need.

No doubt in my mind, this place can be expensive. The coupon book, as mentioned in previous reviews, can help big time. But there are times when you can find the right item where it’s worth it! I’ve also found great seasonal items like for holidays. It doesn’t hurt that they have their own Post Office at the store as well! The staff is outstanding and will go the extra mile. I also like the fact that it’s a local franchise. I shop local! AND yes, Jessica, I’ve done my fill of their popcorn! ;-P

Ace is the helpful place! I love this store the staff is great. Who doesn’t love free popcorn while shopping. Whenever I have a question about anything in the store there is somebody there to help. Yes some of the prices might be higher than the big box home improvement stores but the customer service cannot be matched.

This is one of my favorite places to shop… seriously. The employees are always so friendly and helpful. We have compared prices to Lowes and HD on various items and Ace usually has the better price.
Pick up the coupon book they always have great everyday things on sale. You can bring your dog into the store, if they are in a shopping cart and free popcorn!

This place is great & they have a usps there. Much better & more helpful then Depot or Lowes.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. You already know what you can get at ACE. But did you know that you can take care of your postal needs here too? That’s right! This nifty niche let’s you send your snail mail, packages, whatever. Works out for me when I need to send a package and I get home from work too late to catch the regular post offices.
