History

Established in 2013.

Conceived over a pint at a local micro-​brewery, The Duluth Experience was initiated in February 2013. The four partners charged ahead over the next few months — writing a business plan, building relationships with our affiliates, buying a 14-​passenger bus, and launching our flagship brewery tours in July. #GetOnTheBus

Meet the Business Owner

Dave G.

Business Owner

Dave is a native Duluthian. After finishing high school, Dave attended St. John’s University where he earned a B.A. in Natural Science and began his love affair with home brewing. Immediately upon graduating from St. John’s, David drove his pickup to Alaska, eventually arriving in Juneau and working as a guide for an Alaska tour company. After a summer in Alaska, Dave returned to the lower 48 and worked as a seasonal wildlife biologist for three years before returning to Duluth to attend graduate school at the University of Minnesota. David earned a M.S. in Biology, moved to Arizona, and spent 8 years coordinating wildlife research studies as a Senior Project Manager for the Arizona Game and Fish Department. In 2012, Dave returned to Duluth to help start The Duluth Experience.
